This application will not work with any earlier versions of the software. PURPOSE This utility creates an On-Demand user account in the Active Directory, so that on-demand scan does not fail when McAfee Security for Microsoft Exchange (MSME) 8.0 is deployed using epolicy Orchestrator 4.6. FILES INCLUDED WITH THIS UTILITY This release consists of a package called MSME800_ODUSERUTILITY.ZIP, which contains these files: MSMEODUR8000.ZIP = MSME 8.0 ODUser deployment package. README.TXT = This text file. NOTE: Make sure that you deploy this utility from an epolicy Orchestrator 4.6 server. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS Supported Microsoft Exchange Servers: - Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 (Mailbox or Hub+Mailbox role) - Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 (MBX role)
Supported epolicy Orchestrator: - McAfee epolicy Orchestrator 4.6.x DEPLOYING THIS UTILITY 1. Log on to epolicy Orchestrator as an administrator. 2. Click Menu Software Master Repository. 3. Click Actions Check In Package. 4. Browse and add the MSME ODUser deployment package (MSMEODUR8000.ZIP). 5. From the "Client Tasks" tab, create a new task to schedule an immediate deployment using the epolicy Orchestrator "Product Deployment" option. 6. From Products and components", select "MSME OD User creation" and run the Wake-up agent to deploy the package. NOTE: If there are multiple Mailbox servers in a forest, enforce the deployment task to one Mailbox server within the forest. TESTING YOUR DEPLOYMENT You can check if the On-Demand user account is created correctly, by verifying if these registry keys exist in the Exchange server: - MSMEODUR - ODUserID Path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\McAfee\MSME\E2007\ FINDING PRODUCT DOCUMENTATION McAfee provides the information you need during each phase of the product implementation, from installation to daily use and troubleshooting.
