Frequent asked questions 1. What is the difference between the C5CD-HF and the C5-HF? The only difference between these two kits is the CD Changer requirement. The C5CD-HF requires the CD changer to work (will not work without it) whereas the C5-HF applies to vehicles without CD Changer. 2. My car does not have a 12-disc Changer. Will the C5CD-HF work without the CD Changer? NO. For the C5CD-HF to work, vehicle must have a functioning 12-disc Changer in trunk/hatch. C5 without CD changer requires our C5-HF 3. Does the C5CD-HF work on all Radios? Works in 1997-04 C5 with AM/FM/CD or AM/FM/Cassette and 12-disc Changer in trunk/hatch. 4. Why is it necessary to run the12v Acc. wire to fuse panel? The module requires 12V accessory and unfortunately there is no such supply on radio harness, therefore we suggest the fuse panel. 5. Can I control my Smartphone music from the radio buttons? NO; you must continue to use Phone built-in controls or the Bluetooth control button and/or voice commands to operate the device. Volume button on factory radio is used to set playback level. 6. How to I reset Module? Press and hold the control button for 5 seconds. 7. I selected the option to retain CD Changer playback but how do I listen to the CD Changer? Press the CD/AUX or TAPE AUX button on Radio to enter Bluetooth Mode (if not already), then press control button 4 times. 8. Press the CD/AUX or TAPE/AUX button on Radio to enter Bluetooth Mode (if not already), then press control button 4 times. To return to music stream press and release control button. 9. Where is the best place to install control button/microphone? We found that having the control button/mic mounted higher on the dash worked best, but users can experiment with different location and decide which works best for them. 10. Will the stereo mute when I receive or make a phone call? This system will not mute audio playback unless radio is in Bluetooth mode. If in Radio Mode (AM/FM) the system will not mute and you must switch radio to hear caller on car speakers. 11. My second phone does not pair or find the Bluetooth Module? In order to pair another phone make sure no other phones are connected. Once Bluetooth is turned off, the device will be free and ready for pairing. 12.
