Section I : Introduction Standalone Version Chronos e-stockcard installs Client & Server on the same PC. System will automatic connect your database to the Local Server. For Your Information: Chronos e-stockcard Standalone Version can be switched to Network Version. Click the icon to open up the change Database Settings box to do changes. Section II : Typical Installation (Recommended) 1. Run the Chronos e-stockcard setup program from:- i. Chronos e-stockcard Setup CD (Auto Run). ii. Chronos e-stockcard vx.x.x folder, double click on the Install_eStockCard.exe. The setup program will guide you through the steps required to install Chronos e-stockcard client and server components. 2. You will see the Welcome to Chronos estockcard Installation screen. 4. At "Select Installation Type" screen, select "Typical Installation" and "Stand Alone Version". Click Next to continue with other steps until "Installation Completed" screen shows up. 2009 Chronos Process Integration Sdn Bhd. All Rights Reserved. Page 4 of 10
Section III : Custom Installation 1. The differences for Typical Installation and Custom Installation are the things to be selected at Select Installation Type and Select Component screen. 2. At "Select Installation Type" screen, select "Custom Installation". Click Next to continue. 3. At "Select Component" screen, select both "Install e-stockcard Client" and "Install e-stockcard Server". Section IV : Create Company Profile & User 1. Go to Windows Start/All Programs/Chronos Process Integration/Chronos estockcard to start the application. 2. For first time login, you are required to create Company Profile before you can proceed to login screen. Click OK to proceed. 3. Key in the Company Code, it can be alphanumeric but limit to 20 characters only. Then key in your Company Name and other necessary information. 4. New company profile is created. Click OK to proceed. 5. Now create new user. Fill up all the compulsory fields here and click Create User button. 6. After that you will come to the login screen and you can see the Company that you have created. Chronos e-stockcard Standalone Version is connected to the Local Server on your PC and the Database Settings are predefined by the system so you don t have to do the setup. 7. Section V : Request Activation Code 1. If you have purchased the Standard Edition, you can click the Server Connection button to proceed with software activation OR you can login to e-stockcard and go to Information > Software Activate. 2. In this example, we will request it at the login screen. First, click the Server Connection button and a message box will prompt out. Click Upgrade Now button to continue. 3. 4. There are two options for you to request the Activation Code. For those with internet access, we would recommend you to request by Email. After select Email, please click Next button to continue. 5. Fill up all the compulsory fields and click Next. 2009 Chronos Process Integration Sdn Bhd. All Rights Reserved. Page 9 of 10
6. When you come to this screen, you can see the system generated the Identification Code. Please click the Email button, it will call your default mail client and the Registration and Identification Info will be automatically filled up in the Message. Finally, click the Send email button to send this Request of Activation Code email to us. 7. After we receive your email, we will generate the Activation Code and email back to you (within 24 hours). You just copy the code given and paste it at the Activation Code field and click Next button.
