The AHA Centre s office is (now) located at the 13 th floor of Graha BNPB (National Disaster Management Authority of Indonesia) on Jalan Pramuka, East Jakarta, Indonesia
The AHA Centre s office also houses the ASEAN Emergency Operations Centre (EOC), which serves as the central location in monitoring disasters and coordinating ASEAN s collective response to disasters. It has experience significant upgrade since moving to new location.
In addition, there are recent ASEAN s high-level commitments that re-affirm the role of the AHA Centre as the primary ASEAN regional coordinating agency on disaster management and emergency response. (2) Updates on and Outlook for AHA Centre and ASEAN disaster management regional mechanism with Sentinel Asia
BACKGROUND 1) 48 out of 106 members in Sentinel Asia based in Southeast Asia region. 1) 03 DPN 2) 20 DAN 2) Total Emergency Observation Request (EOR) from ASEAN countries: 115. Top three EOR to Sentinel Asia came from Indonesia (42), Philippines (28) and Viet Nam (32) How then the EOR, and its follow up (data and information provision) supported emergency response operations? 3) Strengthens commitments to regional disaster management mechanism in ASEAN 4) Better linkage, better collaboration between disaster management agencies and spacebased agencies for total engagement in whole phase of disaster management cycle: investigate inter-linkages between past EOR and contribution to preparedness and emergency response operations in ASEAN 5) Inquiry addressed in Sentinel Asia JPTM 2018 1 st day: how end-users used information obtained from Sentinel Asia and what were the contributions?
