Button Functions: Button Function Display the page content as HTML. Save Preview Templates Cut Copy Paste Paste Text Paste Word Print Spell Undo Redo Search Replace Select all Bold Italic Underline Strike through Subscript Superscript Save the page Preview the page as it will normally be seen. Format as a template. Remove selected text and graphics. Place that data into temporary memory, also known as the clipboard. Copy selected text and graphics into temporary memory. Leave selected data where it is. Insert the most recently cut or copied text and graphics at the current cursor location. Paste the contents of the clipboard as plain text. That is, all HTML tags (including images) are not pasted. This button is helpful when you want to eliminate the HTML formatting of the text being copied. Paste the saved contents from Word into the document. Print the editor content. Begin spell checker. Reverse the most recent action, as if it never occurred. Reverse the undo action. Launches the Search dialog box. The dialog searches for specified text Launches the Replace dialog box. The dialog lets you replace text that you have selected. Select all editor content. Button Number Function Begin the line on which the cursor rests with a number. Button Function Display a list of styles. Users can select from the list to apply a style to selected text. Note that the list can change depending on the formatting of the selected line. Inserting Text To insert a line break press SHIFT+ENTER. To insert a new paragraph press ENTER. Inserting Pictures To insert a picture into your content place your cursor where you want the image to appear and click on the image button to display the Image Properties dialog box. Next click the Browse Server button to view images uploaded onto the server or to upload an image from you local PC onto the server. 4
Choosing a Server Image To choose an image previously uploaded to the server simply click on the image name or click on a subfolder and choose one of it s images. The following Image Properties dialog box appears. Here you can enter Alternative Text which will appear on a mouseover or text only browsing. You can also change the images width, height, add a border, add horizontal space and vertical space. You also have a choice of aligning the picture Left, Absolute Bottom, Absolute Middle, Baseline, Bottom, Middle, Right, Text Top and Top. Choosing a Local Image To choose an image from your PC click on the Browse button. 5
Next your local folders window appears. Find the folder where you saved your image and double click or select the image and click the Open button. Your image path appears at the bottom in the text box, you can then click on the Upload button and the image is placed onto the server into the current folder or you can click on the Create New Folder button to upload the image to a separate folder. 6

Inserting Tables To insert a table into your content place your cursor where you want the table to appear and click on the table button to display the Table Properties dialog box. Choose the number of rows and columns you require. The width and height can be a percentage or exact pixels. You can add a border and set the alignment to left, centre or right. You can change the Cell spacing (the space between cells), the Cell padding (the space between a cell's border and content), or add a Caption (a heading for the table). After creating the table you can change the table properties or cell properties by selecting one or a number of cells inside the table and clicking the right mouse button to display the submenu choices. To delete, copy or paste a table move your mouse of the grey table edges till your curser turn into a cross pointer, then click the right mouse button to view your submenu choices. 8
Inserting Styles Your web developer will have set up the design and matching text styles for your site. To keep your site looking professional you need to use the same headings and text on all of your pages. The style dropdown box helps you keep this professional look by matching the headings and fonts. Simply select the text to change and choose the correct option. To remove a style select the text, click on the Style box and click on the arrow in front of the style recognised. 9
