Virtual Zones Programming: DSC PowerSeries Neo allows assigning up to 32 of its total zones as Virtual Zones. A DSC PowerSeries Neo zone can be triggered in Alarm, Trouble, Tamper by Kantech inputs, doors or controller events using Virtual zones. The benefit is that a Kantech Door can cause an alarm on a DSC PowerSeries Neo zone without any wiring Note: HS2016 can only have 16 virtual zones 9- DSC Virtual zones need to be assigned to a DSC physical zone using the DSC keypad using option a. On the keypad: [*8]-[5555],[560] b. Scroll the Virtual Zone desired and press * c. Choose the physical zone to be linked : ex: 009 d. The PowerSeries Neo/Kantech integration provides users the following abilities: Receiving programming of the intrusion system - The partition and zone names can be uploaded to the EntraPass Software from the intrusion panel. The partitions and zones can be used for various actions such as operator operations. In addition the user codes can be uploaded from intrusion panel and stored in the EntraPass Software. The EntraPass operator can program and download to the intrusion panel new user codes or modify existing ones. Receiving events from the intrusion panel - The intrusion panel events can be viewed on the Message list and used for reporting in conjunction with the standard access events. Furthermore, these intrusion events can be used to trigger video recordings, pop-up alarms, email notifications and other actions. Manual operations from EntraPass - The operator can perform manual operations on partitions from the EntraPass software, operations such as: Partition arm away, partition arm stay, partition arm no entry delay, partition arm with code and disarm partition with code. Using intrusion components on graphics - The uploaded zones and partitions can be used in graphic floor plans to visualize where each zones, partitions and traditional access control components are on the floor plan. The operator can view the status of each of the components and perform operations on partitions. Arm and disarm partitions - The intrusion panel partition can be linked to a reader or readers to request an arming and disarming of the partition via a card. When a card holder presents his card and pushes the appropriate button on the reader, the KT-400/KT-1 will send an arming request to the intrusion panel. When a card holder presents his card and opens the doors, the KT controller will send a disarming request to the intrusion panel. The EntraPass software supports single partition management per reader or multiple partition management per reader. There is NO support for Virtual Keypad at this point with this integration.
