Install & Register Installation Open Outlook Click on Store icon in the ribbon s Type Backflipt in the search bar
Click on Add Registration Enter your Phone Number and click on Text me code
Enter 4-digit code and click on Verify Type your Full Name and click on Start my 30 day trial
Email Select appropriate email service and follow the steps to connect CRM setup (Optional) Connect to appropriate CRM by selecting Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics or click on Skip to set it up later.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Setup For Microsoft Dynamics 365, user needs to enter the Access URL, which is the link used to access your organization s Dynamics 365 online. A typical link will be https://companyname.dynamics.crm.com. Example Access URL is shown in the screenshot below:
Setup Connect to content repository Click on settings icon and choose the option Connect Repositories Select Content Repository of interest and follow the steps to set it up Click on Configure option and select a folder(s) containing relevant sales assets. Files from the selected folders will be used for trending documents and search results.
CRM Click on Settings and select the Connect CRM option

Search Content During Email Engagements Users can engage with customers with meaningful collateral right from within the email tool. Based on the topics discussed in customer email conversations such as competitive analysis, deployment configurations, requested case studies etc. relevant files are instantly suggested in the add-in. Click on the Search menu option in the add-in menu bar. Select text from email body in any email interaction with the customer. Search bar in backflipt add-in is auto filled with the selected text Click on suggest to get relevant sales assets from the configured folders
Sending Documents to customer Click in the email body at the place where the link to the document should be inserted Select the document and click on Transfer to Email as shown below Selected document link is inserted in the email body as shown
Trending around me This is a personalized list of documents relevant for the you based on the enterprise behavior, your customer interactions and content effectiveness. Compose new email. Personalized list of trending documents is shown in the add-in. Trending Documents for a customer Based on collateral the user has shared with the customer, additional related collateral from connected repositories is automatically recommended in the add-in as Trending Documents for that customer. This allows users to follow up customer conversations in a more meaningful way. Users can share collateral as attachments or as links. Open the customer email with shared collateral. In the add-in, related recommended collateral is shown in the AI Suggestion.
Proactive Engagements When new sales assets are added (case studies, white papers, etc.) or existing sales assets are updated (updated datasheets, deployment guides etc.), Backflipt generates a list of customers that the user can engage with proactively using the new or updated collateral. The customer recommendations come in the form of notifications. Red dot on the notification icon indicates new notifications. Notification details shows the list of customers with following details o CRM opportunity name (if available) o Customer Email Address o Email Subject Engagement Analytics
Backflipt generate engagement analytics such as documents sent, and documents viewed by customer right inside the add-in. This allows users to plan the next step in their engagement. When a document is viewed by the recipient, backflipt generates a notification for the user. The notification icon will be highlighted with a red dot to indicate that. Click on notification icon to see notification details o Recipient Email ID o Latest Document Viewed o Document Sent on date o Document Viewed on date
View CRM details Type in email address of the contact. A green arrow on the CRM icon indicates a record exists in CRM for that contact. Click on the CRM icon. CRM details would be shown in a pop-up. Log Emails to CRM Logging outgoing email to CRM After composing email Click on CRM option in the add-in. Then click on Post to CRM in the pop-up and click on Yes to confirm.
Email content will be logged to CRM after email is sent Email trail will be logged under Activities for Salesforce and under Notes for Microsoft Dynamics 365
Logging Incoming email to CRM Select Inbound email Click on CRM option and then click on Post to CRM and click on Yes to confirm Email content is logged to CRM Email trail will be logged under Activities for Salesforce and under Notes for Microsoft Dynamics 365
