Being able to type assignments without having to print them out or store them on USB drives and having online textbooks, so I could carry all of my textbooks without the weight It was really nice to be able to transport my own files without having to email them. Last year, when I was at Park Forest, we had the laptop carts and it was really hard to get the same laptop every class. With each student having their own laptop, we could just double click on the file and we're good to go. mostly it was being able to take my work with me where ever i went, and not have to depend on my few free period... Overall, what was the worst part of having your own laptop to use this school year? It was heavy to carry around Sometimes it would get REALLY slow, probably because I had loads of tabs open at once. trying to figure out just how to use the dang thing, but now i have a pretty good understanding how to use my laptop so this isn't really a problem anymore. The worst part of having the laptops was having to bring them to school everyday. I have every text book known to man in my backpack, and the laptop did not help lessen the load. The distractions. Watching people in class on facebook or tetris is annoying and very distracting, along with just being disrespectful to the teache... What suggestions do you have for improving this initiative for next school year? More online texts I like the program as it is. none, i enjoyed the experience, and i don't really have any complaints, suggestions, etc. I would make it so that having your laptop everyday was not a requirement. I think people should be able to lose their laptop or have it taken away after breaking certain rules or regulations. Kind of like a cell phone. spend my time wisely. I have no ideas. i thought it was fine as it was????? I suggest that we pretty much keep it the same. I don't see anything that could be done better. It was perfect! To not make taking a laptop mandatory. mabey somemore places... Number of daily responses 3 of 4 7/6/11 8:45 AM
