Student Listing You are now ready to review your child s information. Click on your child s name. Student Course Listing First, you will notice that there are 5 tabs listed in the window: Students Courses Attendance Discipline Schedule Currently the default when you click on your child s name will be the Courses Tab. You will also notice your child s name listed as Student Name. Next you will notice 3 additional tabs; Current Assignments Due (0), Missing Assignments, and Course Announcements. This is a quick listing of all Courses your child is enrolled in. Finally, listed are all the courses your child is currently enrolled in, sort of a condensed schedule with the current Quarter Average listed by course. Listed is the teacher of that course. Depending on your e-mail system you are able to click on the Teacher Name and it will default into the TO section of the E-mail. If you would like to see more detail about the course or assignments in that course all you need to do is click on the course s name. Page 7
Just a note on the Score Column; Score, which eventually is used to calculate the child s average for the quarter or semester, is assigned with a total amount of points for each assignment and then each student is awarded the points earned. Each assignment may be weighted or assigned a different amount of value that will ultimately make up the final average. For instance, homework may be weighted at 20 % of the grade, quizzes at 30 % and tests at 50 % for a total of 100%. The teacher of each course can either weight the class or not weight the class. If they weight their class they may use any percentage they like for as many different Category types as they create. Page 8
