Smart Licensing

What is Cisco Smart Licensing? Cisco Smart Licensing is a new way of thinking about licensing at Cisco that is being applied to all products Instead of DRM, licensing provides a Software Inventory Management System that provides Customers, Cisco, and Selected Partners with information about Software Ownership and Software Utilization Ownership Usage Commerce (CCW) Smart Account Hello, I am Device-East5, I belong to BigU.edu and I am using 1x Advanced License Cisco Product I Have Purchased 5 additional Advanced Licenses for BigU.edu Hello, You are Device-East5, belonging to BigU.edu and the Physics department you are In-Compliance BigU.edu I Own: 10 I am Using: 10 +5 +1

Introducing Cisco Smart Software Manager Customers self-manage Cisco licenses, based on consumption needs, in one Portal. Work pane Smart vs. Virtual The Smart Account is a single and systematic representation of a customer in Cisco's internal system. The Smart Account name displays here Virtual Accounts are pools of licenses and product instances. All new licenses are placed in a default Virtual Account. You can then transfer the licenses from that account to a different account. Each Work pane will have additional tabs for its specific activities Navigation pane View entire customer license and product inventories Understand license and product landscape Receive timely issue messaging Easily troubleshoot product and license inventories http://www.cisco.com/web/ordering/smart-software-manager/index.html
