THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN FREQUENTIS FREQUENTIS - COMMITTED TO END-TO-END BUSINESS- AND SAFETY-CRITICAL COMMUNICATIONS MARKET LEADING PER- FORMANCE SAFE & RELIABLE INNOVATION FOR TOMORROW S ATM FREQUENTIS HIGHLIGHTS & INNOVATIONS AT EUROPE S LARGEST AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL CONFERENCE March 4-6 saw the world st biggest ATM event take centre stage at the IFEMA Feria de Madrid in Spain. Over 6,260 visitors from some 100 countries recently attended the 2014 World Air Traffic Management Congress (WATMC) in Madrid. Many of them took time to visit the Frequentis booth, listen to the panel discussion and presentations and see the various demonstrations. We wish to extend sincere thanks to all the visitors we met at the WATMC. It was a pleasure talking with you about today s opportunities and challenges in air traffic management. As Hannu Juurakko, head of the ATM business unit put it: Frequentis is the innovation leader in ATM communication with customers in more than 100 countries; these customers serve more than 90 % of the passengers traveling worldwide. Furthermore he comments, For us the congress is a great opportunity to showcase our end-to-end communications portfolio and is the most effective platform for information exchange and networking within the ATM industry.

FREQUENTIS PANEL DISCUSSIONS & PRESENTATION PANEL DISCUSSION: SESAR AND THE IMPLICATIONS FOR MILITARY AVIATION WILL OPTIMISED USE OF EUROPEAN AIRSPACE LIMIT MILITARY EFFECTIVENESS? CHAIR: Oliver Doerre, Business Area Manager Defence, FREQUENTIS AG PANEL PARTICIPANTS: Representatives from the Civil Aviation Authority/Safety and Airspace Regulation Group, Royal Air Force, DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH, the Bundeswehr Air Traffic Services Office and Airbus Defence & Space The panel discussed consequences of the civil-driven SESAR program for military airspace users. Understanding the economic relevance and willing to support the expected achievements, militaries across Europe need to understand the effects SESAR will have for their air operations. As a participant in an airspace with some special requirements the European Air Forces have agreed to support SES and integrate military needs as early as possible.

PRESENTATION: VOICE COMMUNICATION FOR 4D TRAJECTORY BASED ATM CHAIR: Maarten van der Lee, Product Manager ATM Communication Solutions, FREQUENTIS AG Frequentis, the market leader in ATM Voice Communications, now leads the change to 4D ATM communication with the next generation voice communication system. This fully VoIP-based system provides the natural migration step towards a networked VCS environment, where boundaries between area control centres, and even countries, disappear. PANEL DISCUSSION: CYBER SECURITY IN ATM: INTRODUCING ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY FOR A NEW CONCEPT OF OPERATIONS A CHALLENGE FOR TODAY S ATM SECURITY? CHAIR: Michael Holzbauer, Director European ATM Programmes, FREQUENTIS AG PANEL PARTICIPANTS: Steve Daniel: CTO Strategy Group at HP Enterprise Security Services; Barnabas Kis: Chief Technology Officer, Hungarocontrol; Michael Standar: Chief Strategies & International Relations, SESAR Joint Undertaking; Sebastien Barbereau: NM IT Security Officer, EUROCONTROL This panel discussed how cyber security threats affect the ATM environment today from various perspectives, and if, and how the evolution in ATM might require a new approach with regard to security measures. The panel was composed of people presenting their experience with cyber security in ATM from civil and military perspective. New aspects arising through increased centralisation of services were also brought into the discussion.

FREQUENTIS TECHNOLOGY MODERNISES ARGENTINIAN AIRSPACE EASIER, SAFER AND MORE ECONOMICAL ATM OPERATIONS FOR DGCTA FREQUENTIS ONCE AGAIN RAISES THE BAR FOR TOMORROW S AVIATION: LATEST GENERATION OF INDUSTRY-LEADING VCS3020X CELEBRATES ITS INTERNATIONAL DEBUT AT Six towers and one area control centre (ACC) in Argentina will be equipped with Frequentis s marketleading voice communication and recording systems Recently the Argentinean ANSP Dirección General de Control de Tránsito Aéreo (DGCTA) in cooperation with ICAO again selected Frequentis AG to modernise the ACC in Mendoza as well as the Air Traffic Control Towers in Salta, Mendoza, Bariloche, Iguazu, Ushuaia, and Calafate with new voice communication systems as well as recording systems. VCS3020X the fastest system available on the market and the world s first VCS supporting dynamic sectorisation provides a cornerstone solution for a more flexible use of airspace. The IP system combines the widest feature range with highest performance at lowest cost of ownership. A cutting-edge context-sensitive layout massively increases operator s efficiency. With the next-generation VCS, Frequentis provides safety-critical ATM communication in its most reliable form, for single and networked ACCs, approach and tower. VCS3020X s high-performance VoIP technology combines the vast experience and superior functional level of the market leader resulting in unique functions and performance which really matter to the aviation industry. TENDER FOR GERMANY S COUNTRY-WIDE HOTLINE INTERCOM NETWORK The German ANSP, DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung (DFS), decided to award this prestigious contract to Frequentis. Germany s civil aviation authority started a worldwide invitation to tender for the renewal of the country-wide hotline intercom network. The German ANSP, DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung (DFS), decided to award this prestigious contract to Frequentis. The project encompasses the centre/approach-controller working positions and the delivery of all DFS Tower sites with a Frequentis IP communication solution. NEXT-GENERATION IP-BASED AIR TRAFFIC NETWORK SOLUTION IN BRAZIL Frequentis delivers a next-generation Air Traffic Network (ATN) to Brazil. The network solution provides transparent access to three different backbone technologies such as IP-based, TDM-based, and satellite-based backbones as well as bandwidth management capabilities. The highlights of the solution are dynamic delay compensation for any combination of network technologies, bandwidth optimisation and dynamic routing based on priorities and bandwidth availability.

Technical specifications and requirements are correct at the time of going to press, but may change without prior notice as our products and services are continually updated.
