HUB: Printing the Course Catalog Begin by clicking on Curriculum Management Course Catalog Print Course Catalog A Run Control ID is an identifier that, when paired with your User ID, uniquely identifies the process you are running. The Run Control ID defines parameters that are used when a process is run. This ensures that when a process runs in the background, the system does not prompt you for additional values. Click the Add a New Value tab. Enter the desired information into the Run Control ID field. We ll enter CRSCATPRINT1. Click the Add button when you are done. Make sure there are no spaces in the ID. Print Course Catalog Use the Print Course Catalog page to enter the request parameters. These parameters will be used to define the processing rules and data to be included when the process is run. From Date End Date Academic Institution Academic Organization Enter a From Date. This date is the effective date of the course offering. This is a required field. The system prints all active courses that are greater than or equal to the From date. (Required field) Enter an End Date. Enter an End Date. This date is the effective date of the course offering. This is a required field. The system prints all active courses that are less than or equal to the end date. (Required field. Choose Today s date for active courses) The system enters the Academic Institution value based on your user default settings. If the Academic Institution field does not default to UBFLO, update this field. (Required field) To find the Academic Organization use the Look Up function. For our example, we ll search for History. Academic Group Academic Career Course Approved Catalog Print Report Only Enter an Academic Group if you want to further refine your search results. We ll enter College of Arts & Sciences. (Optional field) Enter an Academic Career if you want to further refined your search results. We ll enter Undergraduate. (Optional field) Use this field to select whether you want to display Approved, Denied, or Pending courses. We ll select Approved. (Optional field) Use the Catalog Print field to select whether you want to view text designated as catalog print text. If you select Yes, all courses with the Catalog Print check box selected in the Course Catalog Offerings page display on the report If you select No, the courses that do not have the Catalog Print check box selected display on the report If you select All, all the courses are displayed, regardless of the check box setting. (Optional field) Select the Report Only check box to create a Course Catalog report. If you select this check box, the File Path field becomes unavailable. OR Clear the Report Only check box to specify that you want to create a Course Catalog report and send the Course Catalog report to your file path location. We ll click the Report Only check box. Process Scheduler Request After you click the Run button, you will be taken to the Process Scheduler Request Page. Click Ok. You ll then be taken to the Print Course Catalog page. Click the Report Manager link. Last Updated: April 28, 2015 4
Report Manager There are four tabs on the Report Manager. The List (#1) and Administration (#2) tabs are relevant to this request. Administration tracks the status of the request report whether it is processing or posted. Once posted, the Reports are accessible at the List tab with the same Report ID number as in the Administration list of report. Click the Administration Tab. List Tab This tab will display the report link that will allow you to view the report. If you do not see the report, click the Refresh button until you do. Click the Report link to go to a page that will provide a link to view the report. Click the PDF link to view the report. A PDF document will then open in your browser displaying the report.
