About Haines Online Haines Online allows for direct Internet access between you, our inventory and your order status information. Now you can follow the global trend of doing business live on-line! Haines Online or HOL for short is an E business solution for Flooring Professionals. Continuous Availability Shop your own hours with HOL, you can log in 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (note: certain functions are briefly unavailable 10pm through midnight due to our nightly backup). You will have direct real time access to inventory availability, pricing & order inquiry systems, as well as your own account information. All orders placed via HOL are for Out Of Warehouse orders. All Direct orders must still be placed with customer service. 3

Haines website is the home of Haines Online. www.jjhaines.com Enter your username and password and click log in. * ENHANCED FEATURE * If you are currently a HOL customer and have forgotten your login information click here. This will take you to another login page where you can enter your email address and retrieve your login information. 5
Accessing Haines Online Retrieving Username / Password Information Once you click on Forgot User/Password, it will bring up another login page for HOL. From this new login page select Forgot User/Password. Enter your User ID or Email address and select Submit. You will receive an email with your User ID & password. *Please note this feature only works if you have provided your email address when your HOL account was set up. 6
Accessing Haines Online: Welcome Screen First time users will receive a standard login and password. We recommend changing your password when you first log onto Haines Online. To change your password click on Info at the top of the screen to access the Personal Settings box. 7
Accessing Haines Online Changing your Password Your new password can consist of up to 10 characters. Type in your old password at the top of the screen, then fill out the new information at the bottom. Click Submit Changes. 8
Order Entry Processing an Order. The order entry feature should only be used if you are comfortable with the item sku logic; sku logic includes the manufacturer beginning and ending codes. You can refer to the Item Number Reference Guide for beginning and ending codes. 9
Order Entry Processing an Order You can enter the full Item Number, Quantity and Sidemark in this screen, continue until your order is complete. Click Submit to take you to the Shopping Cart. 10
Order Entry Item Searches The Product Search feature is most often used when complete item sku logic is not known. From the main menu you can select the product search field and enter either an item number or description of the product. *NEW ENHANCEMENT* The Product Search field has recently been enhanced to search for a string anywhere in the item number/description. Prior to this enhancement the search only found words/phrases that began the product description. 11
Order Entry Item Searches Scroll through the listing and select the item you need, either the item number or the description. This will take you to the Item Information page to view our physical inventory, product information and allow you to process orders. 12
Order Entry Item Searches: Automatic Inventory Selection If you do not require a specific shade you can enter the quantity under Automatic Inventory Selection then select Add to Cart. This will pull material from the same shade. * Please note the only exception is ceramic products. When ordering ceramic please use the Manual Inventory Selection. Depending on the item their may be a related items option. Clicking on this option will bring up associated items for the material (i.e.. coordinating trims, adhesives, etc). This feature allows quick selection of associated items to your order. 13
Order Entry Item Searches: Manual Inventory Selection If you are looking for a specific shade you can view our inventory under the Manual Inventory Selection. Enter the quantity needed on the line then select Add to Cart to order. We recommend including a comment in the sidemark field indicating any specific shade request. This will insure the correct shade is allocated to your order. 14
Order Entry Item Searches: Roll Goods When ordering a roll balance you must specify your minimum roll requirements. If the measured balance does not meet your minimum you will be given a cut at the minimum requested size and charged cut pricing. Select Add to Cart when finished. *ENHANCED FEATURE* If you need to make several cuts off the same roll, click on the + sign to enter the sizes you need. Select Add to Cart when finished. 15
Order Entry Item Searches: Product Knowledge If you scroll to the bottom of the Item Information page you can review very helpful product knowledge(ie. coordinating products, general specifications and installation information). 16
Order Entry Shopping Cart / Stock Availability. After you select Add to Cart or use the View Shopping Cart option, you will come to the Shopping Cart Screen. This will show you the item, quantity ordered, weight, pricing and availability information. EX #1: Material is available, it will show Stock is OK and which branch the stock is pulling from. EX #2: Material is on back-order, you will see the quantity requested is not available, as shown in the second Item. If back-order material exists you will not immediately see ETA information. A follow up phone call or email will occur shortly after placing your order with ETA information. 17
Order Entry Shopping Cart / Checking Out Select Checkout if you are ready to place your order. To cancel your order select Clear Order. To save your cart you can select Archive Cart. The integrity of your order will be saved but the specific material selected will not be allocated. If you want to continue shopping you can enter your next search. 18
Order Entry Checking Out Step 1 in the Checkout process it to confirm your order. Once confirmed select continue. 19
Order Entry Checking Out Step 2 Header Screen. A PO# is a required field. If you do not use a set PO you can use no or none as an option. If any special comments are required (i.e. Special pricing, delivery requests, etc.) please use the following fields; Tag/Comment, Special Instructions and Shipping Instructions. If needing to override the ship to address select the New Shipping Address option. This will reset the field to enter the new ship to address. Your order will automatically default to your next available delivery date. To select a future date select the calendar. 20
Order Entry Checking Out Step 3 Final Step in ordering process. You can Activate your order, place it on a 24 Hour Hold/Reserve or Cancel Your order. *Reminder: Totals do NOT include Fuel Surcharges and Delivery Fees. If you select 24-Hour Hold, your order will be moved into the unprocessed files. If not released as an order it will be unallocated after 24 hours. If you select cancel order, all items will be moved back to the shopping cart. 21
Order Entry Checking Out Once you Activate your order you can print a copy of your order for your records. *ENHANCED FEATURE* You can print an order confirmation with or without pricing. 22
Specials Specials are defined as remnants, odd lots and discontinued items. You can search for Specials by Category, Manufacturer, Price & Quantity ranges. To view current discounted promotions utilize the promotions button. 23
Specials If you want to select any of the search results, simply click on the box and select Load to Order Entry. 24
Order Status You can view both Processed and Unprocessed Orders. 25
Order Status Unprocessed Orders: An Unprocessed order would be material either on a reserve/24 Hour Hold or that you have just Activated (not yet reviewed by J.J. Haines/Wheeler Customer Service Teams). Under Options select Details. *ENHANCED OPTION* While your order is still in an unprocessed state, your header information can be updated. 26
Order Status Unprocessed Orders You can only change your Header Information in the Unprocessed Orders. Header Information includes; PO#, Jobname, Special Instructions, Ship to Address, Delivery Date and Ship Via Instructions. Once updates are complete select Save Changes. If the material was a reserve, you can select Activate to release the order. 27
Order Status Processed Orders: All active orders processed via Haines Online, Fax or Phoned into J.J. Haines / Wheeler Customer Service Teams. Under Options select Details. You can view both open and invoiced orders. Please note you cannot view or print an actual invoice. 28
24 Month Purchase History You can view your total sales for the past 24 months, as a month to month comparison. The current month total will be listed at the top of the screen. 29
Promotions The promotions button will always be active when there is current running promotions. You can review all current running promotions and sales flyers. Simply click on the Promotions button and select the promotion link you want to view. This will pull up a word document that you can review and print. 30
Armstrong Product Information If you are looking for Armstrong product information (i.e. MSDS, specifications, installation instructions, maintaince, etc ) select the Armstrong Product Information option to link you to Armstrong s Floor Expert Website. 31
Help To view or print user documentation to help you navigate the Haines Online System, select the Help button. 32
Misc. Features Contact information for inquiries, comments, set up and support for Haines Online click here. Show Cart Frame, pulls up this side view of your cart. Hide Cart Frame will remove it. The Shopping Cart and Checkout buttons will only be active if you have items in your Shopping Cart. You can review and release archived orders. New Enhancement coming soon.
