Pointer/Selector tool Allows you to select an entity. Left click to select (item will turn red), right click to unselect. Zoom Rotate (R) Drag a box around what you would like to zoom into. Right click to zoom out or press the space bar to fill your screen with all parts in the window. Allows you to rotate selected items. Hold down left click while rotating. Right click allows you to move the axis point. The closer the cursor is to the axis point the faster/greater the rotation. The farther the cursor is from axis point the slower/more incremental the rotation. Cut (Ctrl + X) Removes items selected and places them in virtual clipboard to be pasted elsewhere. Copy (Ctrl + C) Allows you to copy items selected. Paste (Ctrl + V) Allows you to paste items in virtual clipboard. Delete Deletes selected items. Plot (Ctrl + P) Plots all items in window. Plot Selected (Ctrl + Shift + P) Plots only selected items in window. Hide Pricing By clicking this you can hide your pricing from your customer. Customize Pattern Allows you to cut down hood, arc trailing edge (Bikini Cut), wrap edges (any length). 1 of 5
Bumper Cut Down Path Merge Step 1: Drag the two vertical lines to where you want the bumper to be cut off. Step 2: Vertical lines can now be adjusted to the desired curve. Step 3: Everything outside the lines gets eliminated. Brings together two separate entities and gives options to have the negative of the two or the positive of the two or any other combinations. (Like when you have a riveted license plate and the pattern doesn t have an option for a license plate cut out. Take a measurement of plate and where it s mounted on the vehicle. Then through the measure tape and ruler combinations in the DAP you should be able to get almost an exact position and then overlay the two entities. Select one entity, CLICK the icon, then highlight the other entity. View Layout Allows you to see the artwork view of how the patterns would be oriented on the vehicle. Align Right Aligns all selected entities/groups to the farthest right point of Align Horizontal Center Aligns all selected entities/groups to a horizontal center point of all selected. Align Left Aligns all selected entities/groups to the farthest left point of Align Bottom Aligns all selected entities/groups to the lowest point of Align Middle Aligns all selected entities/groups on a horizontal center line of Align Top Aligns all selected entities/groups to the upper most point of Distribute Vertical Puts even spacing between selected entities on a vertical axis. Distribute Horizontal Puts even spacing between selected entities on a horizontal axis. (must be three or more entities) Render Text Allows you to enter text into the kit. Font and height of text must be entered. Draw Path Left click adds points with a line segment in between each point, right click will close/join the first and last points together. Mark Extendable With entity selected, left click turn off or on line segments to wrap. Any segment that is marked orange will expend outward when the wrap feature is selected. Convert To Curve (F6) Converts selected line segment or segments to a single curve Straighten Segment (F5) Converts selected line segment into a straight line. Resize Allows you to resize the portion of the kit you have highlighted by left clicking and dragging the mouse from the boxes produced. Open Entity Opens node to an open point. (Blade on plotter will go up and back down on this spot as if it is two separate points) Hook Tool Add Points This is the most common tool used to manipulate the lines of a pattern. It allows you to manipulate selected entities by moving points, segments, or the handlebars that are outside of each point to control the curve. Allows you to add extra points into a line segment by dragging a line across another line, and where they intersect a point will be added. Eraser/Remove Points Erases points from the selected entity. Flip Vertically Flips the selected entity vertically. 3 of 5
Flip Horizontally Flips the selected entity horizontal. Copy and Flip Right Copy and Arrange Copy and flips an entity in relation to the open section of pattern. Ex. As long as you have the center points of your bumper open, when you have half a bumper selected, press F11 and it will copy and flip horizontally along the open vertical axis. All you will need to do is connect your two middle center points to join both sides of the bumper back together pattern. Copy and flip in relation to a selected entity. Ex. If you would like to change a PDC location, you would only make the changes to one side of the bumper. Then, with the previous PDC cut outs deleted from the other side of the bumper you would select the PDC you manipulated, then select this tool, and then select the outer part of the bumper. The PDC holes will then be duplicated on the opposite side of the bumper in the same place as the one you adjusted. Drag Rectangle Left click and drag mouse to create a rectangle to your desired size. Once left click is released the shape will be locked in. Drag Radiused Rectangle Left click and drag mouse to create a radiused rectangle to your desired size. Once left click is released the shape will be locked in. Drag Circle Left click and drag mouse to create a circle/oval to your desired size. Once left click is released the shape will be locked in.
