Cisa Serie 640 SO 0123 Sterilization Units
Sterilization Units 640 SO The efficacy of sterilization s process is determining to eliminate the risks which comes through the utilize of the medical dispositives on the human body. For this reason Cisa has carried on a research and development program having the target to realize a complete range of machines to meet all the kind of sterilization both in production terms and application. And every Cisa machine is designed and manufactured on the same principles: easy of use and maintenance, safety, and reliability. 2
Maintenance All Cisa machines are designed for easy access and maintenance. Access is from the front, and the position of every component is designed so as to make it to reach and service. Technical assistance, ordinary maintenance and eventual repairs are therefore quicker, simpler and more cost effective. For each main component there is a maintenance programme directly accessed through the touch screen. The maintenance programmes also include the steam generator, which automatically drains so as to eliminate water contaminants or deposits. Furthermore it is foreseen an interface to make the distant maintenance. Structure and Machine Design The technology featured in every Cisa machine isn t only limited to the digital process control. The Cisa research team has also dedicated a lot of effort to the structure and construction of the machines. A thorough choice of materials and components guarantee the safety and durability of the machine under every circumstance. All Cisa machines are manufactured with the same standards of hygiene and dependability, and feature, amongst others, the following characteristics: Sterilization chamber, jacket and doors in stainless steel chrome-nickel-molybdenum-titanium Design and type approval at 3,5 relative bar Frontal frame of the sterilization chamber in single piece homogeneous with incorporated seat gasket and door guides Mirror finish electrolytic polishing treatment Steam operated dynamic gasket, or in alternative mechanical compression seal Pneumatic closure of the sterilization chamber with automatic safety locking and vertical or horizontal sliding door Pure self-lubricating silicone gaskets Non toxic fire resistant insulation foam, with extremely low thermal conductivity and no release of particles Main supporting frame, front and internal panels in stainless steel chrome-nickel-molybdenum Compact architecture, with overall dimensions always restricted in relation to the machine capacity Effortless installation, with ease of positioning on the floor and connection to the main utilities 3
Systems and Utilities All installed components are readily available on the market - throughout the world. Cisa has purposely chosen only components that are manufactured by leading multinationals with worldwide distribution networks and service centres. The hydraulic plant is entirely made of stainless steel chromenickel-molybdenum and insulated with silicone foam. All electrics have a minimum protection requirement of IP 54. Energy Saving In the design of the Cisa range of machines, a lot of attention has been dedicated to energy consumption. This is why, for example, all insulating materials are top of the range, and with generous thickness. This ensures that operating costs are kept low. Specific technical solutions have also brought the Cisa design team to implement significant savings in water usage. Each operating sterilisers which is not making any cycle, automatically it takes itself the stand-by position, reducing considerably in this way the consumptions. 4
Safety Cisa sterilisers are designed with the most sophisticated safety procedures in mind, that take into account the hazard and risk analysis, the purpose of use, its specific class (IIa) and the necessary protection for the operator, the product and the environment. Thus, for each component there is a back up spare ready to kick in automatically in case of any problem with the first. Moreover, the process control allows the reproduction of each sterilization cycle in time. Not only do all Cisa sterilization units undergo an electromagnetic compatibility test. They are also fitted with a network filter for electromagnetic interference. Control System Each machine in the Cisa sterilization range is entirely managed by programmable logic systems that allow for total cycle control, with a constant check on all parameters and a verification of the safety of the process. Two PLCs are interfaced with each other to ensure maximum safety of the process. While one PLC manages the machine operation, the other (with separate measurement systems) is in constant control, verifies and records the process. This allows a constant and regular sterilization cycle, without the risk of individual operator decisions. An integrated printer automatically delivers a cycle report whose layout is designed both graphically and in the wording to be easily read and interpreted. A colour touch screen monitorguides the operator through the various stages of the process, with a user-friendly interface. The machine can be supplied as a stand alone, or integrated in a global monitoring network with remote control, or in a complete sterilization control system, which includes traceability. 5
Industrialization Cisa s prominent position on the market has allowed the company to develop sufficient sales volumes to ensure, for each model of the range, a production in series. The repetition of all assembly operations and the industrialisation of the manufacturing process can therefore provide a very favourable quality/cost ratio. Quality and Safety Certificates Cisa sterilization units conform to the requirements of the European Standard EN 285 and to the different Standards it refers to, amongst which are CEI EN 61010-1, CEI EN 61010-2-040, CEI EN 60204-1. The machines are also CE marked according to the CEE directive 93/42 for medical devices. Finally, they are validated according to EN 554. The test approval of pressure vessels follows the requirements of the country of destination. Automation Cisa sterilisers can be automated to work optimally during their operative time. In fact the turn on of the autoclave, the start of the heating cycle, of the vacuum leakage test, of the Bowie & Dick test and its turn off, it may be effected automatically by itself. It is possible to automates also the material loading and unloading operations, permitting to reduce the inactivity time of the machines. Versions Cisa sterilization machines are available in various versions: Steam units for solids or packaged porous materials ( H ) Combined steam and formaldehyde units ( HF ) Combined steam and liquid programme units ( HL ) Steam units for liquids, physiological solutions, cultivation grounds, ampoules, vials and milk treatment ( LS ) Air-steam for high pathogenic materials and virology ( LHP ) Steam units for cages, food, liquids and stabularium material ( LS ) 6
