(PARCC) Adding a Test Administrator Note: Please refer to the PARCC Test Coordinator Manual and follow its instructions. This guide is to serve as a supporting document to the aforementioned manual. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Adding a Test Administrator (TA) to PearsonAccess Next Important Information/Overview of guide: This guide will show you how to add a Test Administrator to the Pearson system one by one (through the Pearson user interface), or using a batch import adding multiple users at once (using the Import Data tool). Log into https://co.pearsonaccessnext.com PearsonAccess Next CMAS Colorado Measures of Academic Success OR PearsonAccess Next Training site (for Infrastructure Trial) https://trng.pearsonaccessnext.com 2. Click on the PARCC 2014-2015 and locate the PARCC Op Spring PBA 2015 from the dropdown. Page 1 of 9
3. Under Setup, select Users 4. Under Select Tasks, check the box next to Create/Edit Users, and click Start 5. Choose your school from the Selected Organizations dropdown menu Page 2 of 9
6. Choose TEST ADMINISTRATOR from the Selected Roles dropdown menu 7. Fill in the required information for the Test Administrator. The USERNAME should be the TA s DPS email address. Example: ta_sample@dpsk12.org Usernames are not case sensitive Repeat the same email address for the Email field Page 3 of 9

Follow the steps below to add multiple Test Administrators to PearsonAccess Next using the Import Data tool 1. Download the User File Sample Layout template and save to your computer 2. Complete the Excel template with the appropriate information following the sample in row 2. http:///assessment-administration-information NOTES for completing the spreadsheet: Action = C Username = TA s DPS email address FirstName = first name LastName = last name Email = TA s DPS email address AuthorizedOrganizations = your school organization number found in PearsonAccess Next Disabled = No 3. Log into PearsonAccess Next OR PearsonAccess Next Training site (for Infrastructure Trial) 4. Click on the PARCC 2014-2015 and locate the PARCC Op Spring PBA 2015 from the dropdown. *Leave the heading row as is and delete the sample row.* *Save the spreadsheet as a.csv file.* https://co.pearsonaccessnext.com https://trng.pearsonaccessnext.com Page 5 of 9
5. Under Setup, select Import/Export Data 6. Under Select Tasks, click the box next to Import/Export Data, and click Start 7. Choose User Import from the Type dropdown menu Page 6 of 9
8. Click Choose File to select your saved.csv file layout template 9. Once you have chosen the correct file, click Process 10. The file will show as pending while it is imported into the system Page 7 of 9
11. Click Exit Tasks to go back to the Import/Export Data homepage 12. The status of your import will show as pending or complete. Once the import is finished, you will receive an email indicating that the file status is complete. Both the email and the status screen will notify you of the number of records successfully imported and any errors that occurred. 13. Checking Errors* Scroll down until you see the Errors box. Correct errors and upload new file into Pearson Access Next until a no error status appears. Download Records in Error use when there are only a few errors that need to be corrected and can be done one-by-one Download Error Message use when the number of errors are too large to display properly in Pearson Access Next *If you receive an error, call Pearson for assistance. 14. To see a list of all users for your school, follow these steps. Under Setup, select Users 15. Use the dropdown arrow on the blue Search box to Show all results. Click the box for Show all results to see a list of all users. Page 9 of 9
