Chapter 3 Assembly Procedure Please follow the information provided in this section to perform the complete assembly procedure of the Eee PC 1101HA. Be sure to use proper tools described before. A fter you have completed the previous chapter of complete disassembly, please follow this chapter to assemble the Eee PC 1101HA back together. This chapter describes the procedures of the complete Eee PC 1101HA assembly. In addition, in between procedures, the detailed assembly procedure of individual modules will be provided for your service needs. B O T T O M C A S E M O D U L E B O T T O M C A S E A S S E M B L Y Bottom Case Module The illustrations below show how to assemble the bottom case of the Eee PC 1101HA. Assemble LCD 1. Install the fan module into the bottom case and secure 1 screw here to fix it. L C D M O D U L E L C D A S S E M B L Y LCD Module The illustrations below show how to assemble and install the LCD module of the Eee PC 1101HA. Assemble LCD 1. Assemble the WLAN antennas on LCD back cover and well arrange the antenna cables through cable guides, then paste 3 pieces of tape. 3-2
2. Install the CMOS DMIC CABLE on the LCD back cover and paste 2 pieces of tape here. 3. Install the camera and connect the CMOS cable. 4. Install the LCD hinges and secure 2 screws to fix them. 3-3
5. Connect the coaxial cable. 6. Install the LCD brackets and secure 4 screws to fix them. 3-4
7. Assemble the LCD panel on the LCD cover and secure 8 screws to fix it. 3-5
8. Install the LCD front bezel on LCD back cover and press the sides to fix them well. 9. Secure 6 screws (M2*4) on LCD front bezel and then fix 6 rubber pads on it. 10. Install the two LCD hinge covers. 3-6
11. Install the LCD Module on bottom case and secure 2 screws here. Then well arrange the cables and past 3 pieces of tape here. 3-7
M O T H E R B O A R D A S S E M B Y M O T H E R B O A R D A S S E M B L Y Motherboard Module The illustrations below show how to assemble and install the Wireless Lan Module of the Eee PC 1101HA. Assemble Motherboard 1. Install the mother board into the bottom case and secure 2 screws here to fix it. 3-8
2. Connect the LVDS cable and fan cable. 3. Connect the Bluetooth cable and install the Bluetooth module on the motherboard. Then connect the Bluetooth cable with the motherboard and paste the tape here. 3-9
4. Install the RJ45 CONNECTOR CABLE and connect it with the motherboard then paste the tape here. Install the daughter board and secure 1 screw here to fix it. Then connect the speaker cable and CMOS DMIC_CABLE with it. 3-10

2. Install the HDD module and secure 1 screw to fix it. 3. Install the DAU FFC and Lock the 2 latches to connect it. 3-13

Install the touchpad bracket and paste 3 pieces of Mylar here. 2. Install the touchpad board and secure 2 screws on it. 3. Install the two FFC cables and connect them with the touchpad board and the touchpad. 3-14
4. Install the top case on the bottom case. 5. Secure 8 screws on the bottom case. 3-15
6. Secure 8 screws on the top case and connect the touchpad FFC. 3-16

3. Lock the 4 latches (Esc; F6; F11; Insert) on keyboard module to fix it. 3-18
M E M O R Y Memory Module The illustration below shows how to install Memory Module to the notebook. Install the Memory Module 1. Insert memory at the same 45 angles and press down until it clicks into the latches. 2. Install the memory door and secure 1 screw here. 3-19
