LOGIN TO THE PARENT PORTAL STEP 1. Go to the Parent Portal by entering this URL into your browser: http://edumate.plc.nsw.edu.au STEP 2. If you have your login details enter them here and click login 2 P a g e 1 7 F e b r u a r y 2 0 1 5

RETRIEVE LOST LOGIN DETAILS STEP 1. Click the Can t Login link as shown below STEP 2. If you don t know your correct username, click on Forgot my username and enter the email address you supplied to the school. NOTE: If your email is not registered with the school you will need to email assistance@plc.nsw.edu.au and provide your name and contact phone number as well your daughter s name and date of birth and year level. STEP 3. Check your email, you should have received an email with your correct username STEP 4. Click Forgot my password then enter your email address and the retrieved username from step 2 and submit. 3 P a g e 1 7 F e b r u a r y 2 0 1 5

STEP 5. Check your email again, you should have received an email with a link to reset your password, click that link. STEP 6. Check your email, you should have received an email with your new generated password. STEP 7. Go back to the login page at http://edumate.plc.nsw.edu.au and enter your username and new password to gain access to the Parent Portal. CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD Once you are connected to the Parent Portal and you would like to change your password to one you will remember you can do so once you are logged in by clicking on Home then UPDATE PASSWORD as shown below. Enter your Old Password and the New Password twice to reset it. 5 P a g e 1 7 F e b r u a r y 2 0 1 5

CHANGE OR CONFIRM YOUR DETAILS & MEDICAL INFORMATION It is a compulsory requirement that you confirm your details with the school at least once a year, this is simple to do and takes less than a minute. STEP 1. Click on the Home icon then click CHANGE MY DETAILS as shown below STEP 2. Check that all the details are correct. If any are incorrect just type over them. Keep scrolling down the page checking everything as you go. 6 P a g e 1 7 F e b r u a r y 2 0 1 5

STEP 3. Ensure you click the button Confirm Details as shown below, regardless of whether you made changes or not. This tells us that your details are correct at the current date. STEP 4. Continue scrolling down the page to verify or change the medical information for each daughter. Again ensure you click the Confirm Details button at the bottom of the page. NOTE: Any changes submitted will be verified by staff before they are accepted. Allow at least 3 working days for the submitted changes to be actioned. 7 P a g e 1 7 F e b r u a r y 2 0 1 5

NAVIGATING THE DASHBOARD The first thing you will see when you login is the Dashboard. From time to time new elements will be added to the Noticeboard section of this Dashboard. You can expand and collapse the individual entries. The most useful for most parents will be the Links for Parents Click the little upward arrow to the right as shown below to expand the entry to see all the content. SEE MY DAUGHTER S INFORMATION From the DASHBOARD/HOME page click on the Carer Portal tab as shown below. You can scroll down the page to explore more information about your daughter. 9 P a g e 1 7 F e b r u a r y 2 0 1 5

UPCOMING TASKS & ASSESSMENT SHEETS By default, the Upcoming Tasks tab is active. This will display tasks due within the next two weeks. The example showing below is showing no upcoming tasks. You can look forward in time to see when the next task is due by clicking the link Click here to see all tasks as shown below. Select the subject you would like to see and the tasks will be listed as shown below. You can then select an individual task to see more detail about that specific task and also access the Task Notification Sheet 10 P a g e 1 7 F e b r u a r y 2 0 1 5

The task details window shows more information about the specific task you selected. You can download the Task Notification or Assessment Sheet and any other resources the teacher has uploaded. RECENT TASK RESULTS To view the results of a recently completed task: STEP 1. Click on Recent Task Results this will list all recent tasks. STEP 2. Click on Show task Result, for the one you wish to view. NOTE: A> This shows general task information and a link to the Assessment Sheet B> You can use this link to access older results for all subjects 12 P a g e 1 7 F e b r u a r y 2 0 1 5

ACADEMIC REPORTS In order to view, download or print a past academic report: STEP 1. Click on ACADEMIC REPORTS STEP 2. Click on OLDER REPORTS This will list all previous Academic Reports available for your daughter as shown below. 13 P a g e 1 7 F e b r u a r y 2 0 1 5

ATTENDANCE INFORMATION This is currently no longer available through the parent portal. We are working to have it returned as soon as possible. This document will be updated when it is available again. STUDENT TIMETABLE & EMAIL CLASS TEACHER Click on the Carer Portal tab then click the View Timetable link on the right as show below. Edumate will then display your daughter s timetable, from which you can email her teachers, see below. 14 P a g e 1 7 F e b r u a r y 2 0 1 5

FOR SUPPORT If you need assistance with any part of the Parent Portal you can email assistance@plc.nsw.edu.au In general it is helpful to provide information such as your name, a contact number and the name of your daughter when describing your issue with the portal.
