Success Story Industrial WINDPARK DENMARK STARTING POINT Siemens intends to equip a new 100 unit wind park with wireless communication modules. Required is a highly reliable and robust wireless communication module with a close to zero downtime. NETMODULE s SOLUTION The used NetModule router NB 1600 includes UMTS radio modules, which enable continuous transmission of measurement data from the rotor head to a central unit and even enables online condition monitoring. If necessary the NB 1600 router additionally enables the receiving of control commands, which e.g. allow the wind power station to be switched off in emergency cases. Slide 6
Success Story Public Transport MVG Verkehrsgesellschaft München STARTING POINT Munich s bus & tram system should be equipped with an on-board information system providing real-time passenger information and Infotainment. Additionally operating data of the vehicles shall be transmitted for back-office functions. Furthermore the system shall prospectively provide driver communication with the depot and among each other. NETMODULE s SOLUTION Using NetModule s NB2700 (with GSM as backup) it is possible to provide VoIP/Audio communication for driver communication in the outskirts of Munich, as classical radio communication is limited to urban areas. This solution may very well be expanded to currently untapped markets such as VoIP communication for other municipal vehicles like busses, garbage trucks, road service etc. Slide 7
Success Story Regional Trains HAMBURGER HOCHBAHN NETMODULE s SOLUTION Bombardier has selected NetModule railway routers for train landside communication application at Hamburger Hochbahn using WiFi technology. Operational data is transmitted to the back-end data centre using the installed WiFi infrastructure on the railway stations.
