Portal/Extranet User Guide for Clients Welcome to the ichannel Portal/Extranet. This guide will walk you through logging into your personalized, secure portal/extranet site. It will also show you how to access your documents, how to upload your own documents, how to reset your password. Logging into the Portal/Extranet You will be provided with the following information needed to login to your Portal/Extranet. Record that information here: Website: User Id: Password: http://ichannel.elliottdavis.com 1. Go to the provided website. You will see a login screen. 2. Enter the user id, password. You may be prompted for the Site Name or number if your username is not unique. 3. Click the Login button. 4. You will see the Terms and Conditions screen
5. Check the box to agree to the terms and click the Agree button. 6. You may be prompted to change your password and set-up the Forgot Password Questions. Make any changes and click the Save button. The screen will refresh. 7. Click the Files link at the top of the page.
Accessing Your Documents Note: The Elliott Davis Decosimo logo icon in the top left corner is the home button to return to the main/home screen. Begin by clicking the Files link at the top of the page to view the document menu. The menu is organized by Channels (headers) and Topics. Security controls what features you will have when working with your documents. Actions you may use are in grey boxes, such as adding documents. Once you click on a topic the documents will appear to the right in the Files List. Example: Click on Accounting under the General Heading to see the five files published to that category. Clicking on List All will list all of the files published to you regardless of category.
Sending Files to Elliott Davis Decosimo 1. To begin adding files, click on the Submit Files tab. This will open the Submit Files Wizard seen below. 2. Choose a folder to add files to, or skip this step if folders are not needed. 3. You can drag and drop your files, or browse and add them through Windows.
4. After clicking next, you may add an email address to notify us about your file submission, as well as a note to the recipient. This is optional. 5. After clicking Next, you will review your submission and click the Upload button to begin the file submission upload. 6. You will briefly see this message letting you know that the files are uploading.
7. You will see the confirmation page letting you know that your files were successfully submitted to us. 8. You can see all of your past submitted files by clicking on Submit Files, then View Past Submission History. You can filter these results by the folder they were submitted to or the date submitted. You can also sort by column headers.
Changing Your Password Once you log in to your portal/extranet you may want to change your password. 1. Click the My Profile tab at the top of the screen. Locate the Password area. 2. Enter your current password. 3. Enter your new password. 4. Re-enter your new password. 5. Click Submit at the bottom of the screen. You will receive confirmation in red when the password is changed. 6. Click the logout link at the upper right corner of the screen and then login again with the new password. Changing Your Forgot Password Questions 1. Click the My Profile tab at the top of the screen. Locate the Password area. 2. Enter your current password. 3. Enter your new password. 4. Click the logout link at the upper right corner of the screen and then login again with the new password. Troubleshooting Tip: For Internet Explorer, make sure compatibility mode is OFF. Certain browsers cannot support TLS 1.2, some have it enabled by default, some have it turned off but can easily be turned on. Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) version 9 and lower: Will not work with our portal. These are high security risk browsers regardless of TLS 1.2 Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) version 10: TLS 1.2 is disabled by default but can be turned on. Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) version 11: TLS 1.2 is enabled by default and will work fine. Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox: TLS 1.2 is enabled by default and will work fine.
