RECEIVING A MESSAGE THROUGH JUMPSTART When you receive a message from dispatch you will get a sound and this will show up on your phone. It will only stay a few seconds. After that you will see the Jumpstart icon at the top of your phone screen (Zoomed in for clarity) To read your message, put your finger on the JS icon and swipe downward. You will have an icon for each message you have received. Once you no longer need the message swipe your finger across the message to remove it. You will receive different kinds of messages through Jumpstart. After you log in you should receive a message This device is registered. When you complete a job it goes to the dispatch screen and when the dispatcher completes the job in ICOMS and clicks report on the Jumpstart dispatch screen you will receive a message that includes the status code you entered and the address of the job you sent in. You will also receive CC confirmations via Jumpstart messaging. If dispatch needs to pass along information to you they will manually type a message and send it to you. Through utilizing the messaging function in Jumpstart you can communicate with dispatch without having to call them on the phone. This will save time for both you and dispatch. Utilize this function to make yourself more productive and save time by not having to call in to dispatch except for rare situations where only a phone call will accomplish the purpose.

Touch the word Completed and a screen will pop up showing you which jobs have been sent through Jumpstart and completion information for each job. You can check this throughout the day to keep track of what you have done. Use your finger to scroll down. This resets automatically at midnight each day. SUBMITTING YOUR END OF DAY Throughout the day you have entered your start time, break time, and corresponding mileage. When you are done for the day, touch your stop time and then enter your ending mileage. (Note: times and mileage here are for demonstration purposes only). Then touch the green check mark next to End of day. Hold for a second or two. You will get a pop up and if your information is correct, touch OK. The green check mark will change to OK then touch Done. Go to the front screen of Jumpstart and touch Refresh and your time and mileage will show on your turn in sheet.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND TROUBLESHOOTING - After I login on my device I get a pop up window saying Bad coverage, please try again later, why? The vast majority of the time when you receive that message it means that you have entered a wrong character in one of the login fields. You can test your connection by going to Settings/Test connection. If the response is Poor coverage then you need to relocate to get better signal. However, if the response is Good coverage, xxxxms then you have entered something wrong. Reset and log in again and pay careful attention to what you are entering. - Why do I sometimes get a pop up window saying Unfortunately Jumpstart Wireless has stopped? That is a common issue with numerous apps on Android. Generally speaking, when the Android operating system switches to do something different (phone call, another app, etc.) depending on the resources a particular app utilizes, it may be shut down by the operating system. Follow the prompts to open Jumpstart again. - Why didn t I get a message from dispatch regarding a job I completed? If it has only been 5 to 10 minutes, dispatch may have a lot of jobs coming in and they haven t gotten to yours yet. If it has been longer, the completion may not have gone through due to loss of connectivity with the Jumpstart Server. Typically this can be resolved by restarting the device, resetting Jumpstart and logging in again. - Why didn t my time and mileage report to my turn in sheet? You didn t properly complete the end of day function. Refer to the section how to properly complete the end of day function. - Some of the jobs I completed did not show up on my turn in sheet. What happened? There are 2 mechanisms to let you know your jobs went through. One, the confirmation message that goes to your phone after dispatch clicks report. Two, the completed jobs on the phone (Refer to Viewing Your Completed Work through Jumpstart. Be sure to check these two things throughout the day. - Why are the last few jobs I completed still on my device? Either the jobs did not go through due to a connectivity issue or you simply need to go to the main menu in Jumpstart and Refresh. If that doesn t push them through, although rare, you may need to have your device session recreated by contacting Rory Elmore at (407) 234-4664. - Why does my phone s signal icon show I have no signal? Usually, it is because of lack of wireless coverage at your current location. If you move to another location and still have no signal, check the phone settings and make sure it is not in Airplane mode and that you are connected to the network. If you are not connected to the network, restart your phone and it will usually reconnect to the network. - How do I perform a reset? On the main page of Jumpstart is an item named RESET. Touch this button, follow the prompts, and log in again following the instructions on page 2.
