Recording How it Works Lies at the core of a podcast Is the most basic building block Most Podcasts Consist Of 1. An Intro 2. A Feature Segment 3. The Outro
The Intro How it Works 1. Pre Roll 2. Bumper music 3. Introduce those involved in the podcast 4. The content contained in the episode. 5. A Bridge to the feature segment 6. Stinger Music (Transition)
Lets Do It Intro You are listening to episode # 7 of elearning Radio Hello there, this is Rick Nielsen the host of elearning Radio and welcome to episode #7 This is a special one - coming to you from mlearncon the elearning Guild s premiere mobile learning conference. I am leading a session entitled Podcast Challenge Producing a Podcast in 1 hour With the assistance of the audience This is a hands on training session where all of the session attendees are going to assist me in producing this episode. So given that we only have 1 hour, lets move on the feature segment of elearning Radio
The Feature Segment How it Works 1. Stinger Music 2. Intro to Feature Segment 3. First Interview Rick / Volunteer 4. Second Interview Volunteer 5. Third interview - Volunteer 6. A Bridge to the Outro 7. Stinger Music (Transition)
Lets Do It Feature Seg - Setup We are going to use an interview format in the feature segment and we will conduct 3 one question interviews. The interview question is: If you had to pick one takeaway from the conference so far, something that you have learned and that you are going to be able to put to use right away, what would it be? I am going to have those that are to be interviewed come to the front of the room, the mic stationary and equidistant from both of us
Lets Do It Interviews Ask to interviewee Please tell us your first name and where you are from. If you had to pick one takeaway from the conference so far, something that you have learned and that you are going to be able to put to use right away, what would it be? Whatever comes naturally in a short dialogue
Lets Do It Feature Wrap Up Not bad for an on the fly episode and how about giving a hand to all those that participated And that s it for the feature segment of elearning Radio
The Outro How it Works In the Outro Stinger Music You express thanks to your audience, Provide a call to action - subscribe Future episode highlights And then a goodbye
Lets Do It Outro That s it for episode # 7 of elearning Radio Sorry that there isn t an elearning Radio quick tip, but we only had an hour to produce this episode and there is still editing and mixing to do If you listen to elearning Radio through some type of click to play option, do consider subscribing to the podcast either on the ELR homepage, on itunes or where ever else you are accessing this from. Stay tuned as Ep #8 will be an interview with Amber Macarthur, best selling author of Power Friending.. Again, thanks for listening and until next time This is Rick with elearning Radio Signing off
