Adding Your URL as a Trusted Site In order to access PrognoCIS, you must add your URL as a Trusted Site, which will enable the Security Certificate to allow you to access the secured web site. Refer to the Initially Accessing PrognoCIS Training Quick Steps for additional information of accessing the EMR once it is installed. Note: This must be done on every workstation, laptop, or tablet pc that will be using PrognoCIS. You must use Microsoft Windows Internet Explorer, version 7 or higher for optimum use of the EMR. Desktop Internet Explorer 1. Click or select Start Programs Internet Explorer. 2. Select Tools Internet Options. 3. On the General tab, click the Settings button under Browsing history frame, which displays the Temporary Internet Files and History Settings dialog.

a. Select Automatically ( ) under Check for newer versions of stored pages. b. Define the Disk space to use within the Recommended parameters (i.e.: 50-250). 4. Select the Security tab. 5. Select Trusted Sites ( ).

6. Click the Sites button. 7. Enter your URL into the Add this website to the zone: text field. Training Quick Steps

8. Click the Add button. (Note: The URL must include the https prefix or an error will alert you it is invalid. Click OK through the error and correct the URL if applicable.). 9. Click the Close button. The new URL will now display in the Websites: pane. 10. See the next heading for additional information regarding how to Define Custom Level Settings for Trusted Sites.

Define Custom Level Settings for Trusted Sites Once the URL has been added as a trusted site, you must define the Custom Level settings. These instructions assume you have completed the preceding section Adding Your URL as a Trusted Site. 1. Click or select Start Programs Internet Explorer. 2. Select Tools Internet Options. 3. Select the Security tab. 4. Click the Custom level button within the Security Level for this zone frame, which will display the Security Settings Trusted Sites Zone dialog. 5. Using the vertical scroll bar within the Settings pane, verify or define the following configuration as noted by each category indicated. Note: Unless otherwise specified, if a category exists in the Settings dialog but is not cited below, assume the default values and make no changes.

6. Scroll to ActiveX controls and plug-ins heading and select Enable ( ) for the following: a. Allow previously unused ActiveX controls to run without prompt b. Allow Scriptlets c. Automatic prompting for ActiveX controls d. Download signed ActiveX controls Note: Leave the Download unsigned ActiveX controls set to Prompt. e. Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins f. Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting 7. Scroll to Downloads heading and select Enable ( ) for the following: a. Automatic prompting for file downloads b. File download 8. Scroll to Miscellaneous heading and select Enable ( ) for the following: a. Access data sources across different domains b. Allow scripting of Internet Explorer web browser control c. Allow script-initiated windows without size or position constraints d. Allow websites to open windows without address or status bars e. Display mixed content f. Launching programs and files in an IFRAME 9. Within the same Miscellaneous category, select Disable ( ) button for the following: a. Use Phishing Filter b. Use Pop-up Blocker 10. Scroll to Scripting heading and select Enable ( ) button for the following: a. Active scripting b. Allow Programmatic clipboard access c. Scripting of Java applets 11. Click the OK button. 12. Click the Yes button when prompted Are you sure you want to save the changes to this zone? 13. See the next heading for additional information regarding how to Defining Your URL as an Allowed Site Within the Pop-up Blocker.

Defining Your URL as an Allowed Site within the Pop-up Blocker In addition to adding the URL as a trusted site, it must also be able to allow pop-ups. The following instructions walk you through defining the Pop-up Blocker Settings for your browser. 1. Click or select Start Programs Internet Explorer. 2. Select Tools Internet Options. 3. Select the Privacy tab. 4. If the Settings button is active within the Pop-up Blocker frame, click it and define your URL. 5. Enter your URL into the Address of website to allow: text field.

6. Click the Add button. 7. Click to set the Filter level: to Low: Allow pop-ups from secure sites. 8. Click the Close button. The new URL will now display in the Allowed sites: pane.

Defining Advanced Internet Explorer Settings In addition to adding the URL as a trusted site, and allowing it under the Pop-up Blocker, there are some additional settings that must also be defined to ensure your Internet Explorer browser works optimally. 1. Click or select Start Programs Internet Explorer. 2. Select Tools Internet Options. 3. Select the Advanced tab. 4. Within the Settings pane, scroll to the Browsing category and deselect ( ) the option Reuse windows for launching shortcuts (when tabbed browsing is off). 5. If applicable, see the next heading for additional information regarding Installing Your PrognoCIS Security Certificate.

Installing PrognoCIS Security Certificate Once your internet browser has been configured to accommodate access to PrognoCIS, you must also install the Security Certificate for the application. Refer to Initially Accessing PrognoCIS Training Quick Steps for instructions regarding your URL and options for gaining access to your database. 1. Access the PrognoCIS Login screen. 2. Click next to the URL/Address field, which will display the Website Identification dialog.

3. Click View certificates. 4. Click the Install Certificate button, which will display the Certificate Import Wizard. 5. Click the Next> button. 6. Select the radio button to Place all certificates in the following store.

7. Click the Browse button. 8. Select Trusted Root Certificate Authorities. 9. Click the OK button. 10. Click the Next> button. 11. Click the Finish button. 12. Click Yes when prompted with a Security Warning dialog to complete the installation. 13. Click OK when prompted with Import Successful message. 14. Click the Close button to exit the wizard.

Removing Internet Explorer Header and Footer from Printed Pages When printing from within PrognoCIS, if your internet browser heading and/or footer is displaying on the printed page, it can be disabled. (For example, the URL address and system date print by default as the footer of a page printed within Internet Explorer.) 1. Click or select Start Programs Internet Explorer. 2. Select File Page Setup. 3. Remove the existing characters in the Header field. 4. Remove the existing characters in the Footer field. 5. Enter a 0 in each of the Margins (inches) text fields (i.e.: Left, Right, Top, and Bottom). The system will override your zero and replace them with Windows default margins.
