2 mytsa Knowledge Target Audience: All Partners using mytsa Knowledge Overview: To facilitate the learning process on mytsa Knowledge, all partners are advised to install specific software applications. The primary purpose of this guide is to provide all partners with detailed guidelines on how to install the software programs prior to navigating mytsa Knowledge. This guide is applicable for the following commonlyused browsers: Internet Explorer Mozilla Firefox Google Chrome Section: Pages Enabling JavaScript for Browsers Adobe Flash Player for Browsers Copyright 2012 TSA Training Services Page I

3 In order to access mytsa Knowledge, JavaScript has to be enabled in your browser. To check if JavaScript is enabled in your browser: 1. Copy the site link below and open the site using your browser: o If JavaScript is already enabled, you will see the below screenshot: Figure 1: JavaScript Enabled o If JavaScript is not enabled, you will see the below screenshot: Figure 2: JavaScript Not Enabled Kindly proceed to the next section to enable JavaScript. 4 To Enable JavaScript for: Internet Explorer 1. Click Tools and then Internet Options. 2. Select the Security tab, and select the Custom Level button. 3. Scroll down to Scripting of Java applets (see Figure 3). 4. Make sure the Enable radio button is checked. 5. Click OK to save your preference. 5 Mozilla Firefox 1. Start Mozilla Firefox browser or restart it if it is already running. 2. At the top of the browser, select the Firefox button then Options. The Options menu will be displayed (see Figure 4). 3. Click the Content button and ensure that the Enable JavaScript option is checked. 4. Click OK to save your preference. 6 Google Chrome By default, JavaScript is already enabled in Google Chrome browser. You can confirm this by performing the following: 1. Start Google Chrome browser or restart it if it is already running. 2. Click on the wrench icon, and then select Options. 3. Select Under the Bonnet and then Privacy Content Settings. The Content Settings panel will appear. 4. In the Plug-ins section, select the Disable individual plug-ins link to check whether Java is enabled (see Figure 5). 5. Under Java, the link should be set to Disable (see below screenshot). The Disable link means that Java has been enabled in your browser. 8 Adobe Flash Player for Browsers As all videos on mytsa Knowledge are uploaded in FLV format, the Adobe Flash Player application will be required on your computer. To check if Flash videos can be launched on your browsers: 1. Copy the site link below and open the site using your browser: o If you can view the below notification in conjunction with the moving red ball (see Figure 7), then Flash Player is installed. Content in this page requires a newer version of Flash Player. ) is displayed, proceed to the next section to install Adobe Flash Player. Copyright 2012 TSA Training Services Page 6

9 Adobe Flash Player for Browsers To Install Adobe Flash Player: 1. Copy the site link below and open the site using your browser: 2. The Adobe Flash site will detect your operating system and browser. 3. Click on the Download Now button. 4. Save the Adobe Flash Player download to your desktop. 5. Once the file has downloaded, close your browser. 6. Install the Adobe Flash Player application by double clicking the Adobe Flash Player file on your desktop. 7. You may get a prompt asking if you want to run the file. Click on Run. 8. You may get a prompt asking do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer? Click on Yes. 9. An installation progress bar will indicate the progress of your Adobe Flash Player installation. 10. Click on Finish to complete your installation. 11. You should receive a prompt on your browser that the installation has been completed successfully. 12. Copy the site link below and open the site using your browser: If you can view the image as shown in Figure 7, Adobe Flash Player is now successfully installed. Note: Similarly, if you encounter any restrictions in downloading/installing the Adobe Flash Player, please contact your IT Administrator.
