Version 8.1 Functionality Available 15 th July 2015 Expanding Rows Available in Open Client, Expanding Rows introduced the ability to expand and contract rows within the flat user interface through interaction or programmatically. Whilst not supported in the MFC client; functions using expanded rows are compatible but they always show the rows defined as expanded. Increased screen size to a maximum of 125 rows. Scroll bars will appear in cases for which an expansion causes areas of the user interface to increase beyond the bottom of the browser. Reduces application screen complexity by allowing user interface content to be optionally hidden on entry to screens. User experience is streamlined by the reduction of modal popup windows; the inclusion of scroll bars adds more depth to the user interface. Fixes In addition to new functionality, 400 days have been invested in correcting 150 defects Approximately 100 sets of internal code updates have been made to improve maintainability and testability of the product core. Approximately 200 days of formal testing prior to release. Represents an estimated 10% increase in labour in comparison to previous maintenance releases Proprietary and Confidential to NGA Human Resources Page 3
Version 8.2 Functionality Available December 2015 SSOs as Standard The 8.2 release will include three new SSOs as standard to provide additional connectivity and output options for PROIV. The PDF Writer - Create PDF documents as part of your PROIV functions and distribute them using multiple mechanisms. The FTP Client - Allows you to connect with FTP services on external systems to send and receive data files from within your PROIV application. The Excel Writer - Create Excel documents dynamically in your PROIV functions with this SSO. Supports.xlsx file format. MySQL Database PROIV on 64 bit Linux will support MySQL 5.6. Interface directly using the Connector / C capabilities of the database, unixodbc will not be required. It will be up to the user to ensure they are correctly licensed for MySQL and its interface. Developer Interoperability Following the enhancement of export/import functionality, PROIV objects could be stored as JSON. All PROIV objects can be exported into individual files suitable for storage in any third party location, whether that be on a file system, database or third party version control. Multiple objects can be exported into a single file known as a PROIV Archive, this file can then be transferred to another system for import and build. This functionality will allow PROIV application source code to be managed using other third party source code control systems such as Subversion or CVS. Standard Compliance REST web services will be updated to support XML as a payload. There will be no need to make any changes to your application, the XML data will be converted into a structured data object and you code will continue to work in terms of SDOs, no prior knowledge of XML is needed. PROIV Control Panel will be updated to utilise the charting library jqchart, as in Open Client, for a clear and consistent charting interface. Aurora will be updated to support latest Dojo release allowing better compliance with new web browsers. Proprietary and Confidential to NGA Human Resources Page 4
Version 8.3 Functionality Available December 2016 Unicode Version 8.3 will be made Unicode compliant as the PROIV Virtual Machine is refactored. All strings will be Unicode; internally there will be just one string implementation. String sizes will now be unlimited. Strings With Unicode strings, operations will work in characters, not bytes, this string type will be of benefit to database integration and string processing. Migration Tools Some Applications may require changes where the application refers to and expects bytes in strings. To identify and assist with these unavoidable incompatibilities, 8.3 will look to provide tools and utilities to assist with the migration. Integrated Development Environment A new Integrated Development Environment based on the popular Eclipse platform will be introduced in Version 8.3, this will leverage the JSON storage format introduced in 8.2. Based on the Eclipse plugin model and leveraging from the Eclipse framework we will enable update application development by manipulating the object representation of the PROIV update. The development process will be a more flexible process for these changes, allowing application developers to work in isolation, as other standard development tools and languages operate. Eclipse integration of team development will also be supported with function diff capabilities available from the first release. Proprietary and Confidential to NGA Human Resources Page 5

PROIV Cloud Edition PROIV V8.1 Cloud Edition available now with AWS We are pleased to announce that, in partnership with Amazon Web Services, the PROIV Cloud Edition is available as of 15 th July 2015. The flexibility of the SaaS model provides a scalable solution for end user applications with paying only for resources being used, for example implementation load balancing during peak periods, then returning to minimal resources when system utilization is low. The availability of instant resources has the potential for upgrading PROIV applications to new versions without impacting existing server configurations. Create a new development infrastructure with QA resources created on demand, then deploy via the cloud PROIV Deployment is as simple as a single click, having confirmed the server size and location, an instance of PROIV configured with SQL server is launched.
