Thank you for purchasing this 3G video box. The user manual illustrates how to operate this product. So please read the user manual carefully before using it. With this high-tech wireless equipment, you can detect anywhere at anytime by dialing video calls with 3G mobile phone. The 3G video box can be widely used in house, school, shop, moving cars, trains or take care of elders and children as long as WCDMA network is available. Modern design 3G video box matches excellent 300,000 pixel camera with night vision function. With the built-in high-light infrared LED, the camera can shoot clear film even in darkness. The Remote camera has infrared motion detector, you or your family or your guards can receive the alarm message and picture when the sensor was triggered. All services and functions needs to be supported by the network and USIM card. Detailed operation and product functions, please refer to this brochure. FEATURES This product uses USIM card, supporting WCDMA 3G network. Real-time video and audio surveillance: by your 3G phone, you can see area anytime and anywhere through 3G video call. Max 5 users and 2 alarm receivers supported 2 ways in for alarm signal 1 way out for alarm signal Camera motion detection Alarm message Picture,video call files can be saved in SD card Built-in Lithium battery: Rechargeable battery ensuring operation in case of external power failure Application: taking care of the elders and children, in house, school, monitoring shop, bus, ship, and train etc. PREPAREATIONS 1 You need to prepare a WCDMA USIM card for the box which has 3G video call, voice call, SMS, income number displaying functions 2 No PIN, pass code, etc for the USIM. 3 A WCDMA phone. 4 Please remember the user s password of the camera. And do not tell others. 3

Parts explanations Front parts: Alarm in No.1 (1) Alarm in No.2 (2) GND (3) Alarm out (4) USIM holder (5) Video/audio in(6) Back parts: Power in (1) Power switch (2) Micro SD holder (3) Reset (4) LED indicator (5) Antenna connector (6) Camera connection Caution : Don t connect or disconnect camera when the box power is on! 1 Micro camera with audio You can insert Micro camera which is in the package directly in to the AV IN 2 Other camera and microphone You can connect any NTSC/PAL camera and microphone to the box by the Line for video and audio in which is in the sale package. 4

Caution: White point is for audio. The line do not supply power for other camera and microphone. Don t try to supply power for other camera and microphone by the box! Alarm in and out You can connect alarming horn (Max 4V/100mA) with the camera with alarm out slot. When the security device is alarmed, the alarming horn will active 60 seconds You can also connect two wired alarm sensors to the video box. In armed mode, the sensors signal will make the box alarm. 5

Caution: The 3G video box will not supply power for the alarm sensors. Tips: You can call the number of the 3G video box to confirm. Caution: If you insert/remove the 3G SIM card when the 3G video box is power on, there is the risk of SIM card damage Power off Switch the power to off. Charge the battery You d better charge the 3G video box about 4 hours every 3 months if you do not use. Choose Video Signal Format There are two Video Signal Formats for CCTV camera, PAL & NTSC. The 3G box supports both. But you need to set for the box before use. If the CCTV camera is in PAL format, please send message: 6

Password#videosystem#PAL# If the CCTV camera is in NTSC format, please send message: Password#videosystem#NTSC# Default: PAL Add/Delete/Check users You can add at most 5 numbers as user phone. User phone can call the camera by video call or audio call for surveillance. User phone can also send some SMS orders Add user: Password#user#user1#user2#user3# Example: 123456#user#13500000001#13500000002#13500000003# Then 13500000001,13500000002 and 13500000003 will be users, and other phones can not call the camera. Tips: Default user password is 123456 Notice: If there is no user, any phone can call the camera. The users are those which are in the latest SMS order. Delete all users: password#user#0# Check users: password#user#?# The camera will send back a SMS with user list Remote video surveillance User phone can see live video remotely by your 3G WCDMA mobile phone. Steps: Set your 3G phone number as user Call the camera by video call of your 3G phone If the call is connected, you will see the live video of monitoring area. Notice: If your 3G phone number is not user, your call will be stopped. Notice:If there is no user, any phone call can be connected. So please set at least one user for the camera before use. 7

Image parameter setting and volume adjustment You can also set image focus and volume during video call. The operation definition of the correspondent key of your phone in video call as followed: 1 Zoom in 3 Zoom out # volume up * volume down 9 alarm out On 7 alarm out Off If there is SD card in the camera, the surveillance video will be saved in SD card. Voice Call You can hear the sound of monitoring area by phone voice call. 1) Set your 3G phone number as user 2) Call the camera by voice call of your 3G phone 3) If the call is connected, you will see the live video of monitoring area. During the call, press # for volume up and * for volume down 9 alarm out On 7 alarm out Off Notice: If your 3G phone number is not user, your call will be stopped If there is no user, any phone call can be connected. So please set at least one user for the camera before use. ADVANCED OPERATIONS Modify Password Modify the Password of the camera after initiation to ensure operation safety. Old password#password#new password# Example: 123456#password#456789# Tips: The default User Password is 123456. The password must be a 6-digit number 8

Video record After receiving SMS command of recording video, the camera begins to record video of 60 seconds and save it in SD memory card if there is. Password#video# Tips: If there is no SD card, the record will be failed. Getting a live picture by MMS If you want the camera to take a picture and send it to your phone by MMS, send the following SMS to the camera. Caution:MMS service perhaps can not work correctly in some countries. Password#picture# Tips: If there is no SD card, the picture will not be saved. Before use, you need to set APN and MMS parameters (Get help from Page 7) Set MMS parameter You need to set MMS parameters for the camera if you want to get pictures by MMS. Send these 2 messages for MMS sever parameters Password#mmsurl#url address# Password#mmsproxy#Proxy IP# Proxy port# Send this message for APN parameters Password#APN#APN name#password#user name# For example: ORANGE in United Kingdom 123456#mmsurl# mms.orange.co.uk/# 123456#mmsproxy#192.168.224.10#80# 123456#APN#orangemms#multimedia#orange# If there is no password but user name, send: Password#APN#APN name#password# If there is neither password nor user name, send: Password#APN#APN name# 9

Check status If user wants to know the present setting and work status of camera, he/she just needs to send the following SMS to camera. It will reply a SMS including all settings (except the passwords.). Password#status# If your phone number is user, your can just send message: Status# The status message includes information (Example): 3G camera status: 15:35, 01/01/2010 3G:X 2G:X Alarm on/off Alarm receivers: XXXXXXX; XXXXXXX SD: XXXXX KB Battery: XX% Motion: on/off Night vision If the camera has infrared light LEDs, you will have a real time video or picture clearly in dark night. Set time You can set system time by SMS password#time#hh/mm/dd/mm/yyyy# Example: 123456#time#09/36/25/08/2012# The system time will be set as 9:36 25 th Aug 2012 Get help If you forget the SMS commands, user can send SMS to get the command list. 10

password#help# If your phone number is user, your can just send message: Help# File storage All video calls, MMS pictures, alarm pictures and short video records will be saved in micro SD card and named by time. Picture: F:/picture Video: F:/video Video call: F:/video call Format SD You can delete all files in SD card Password#FormatSD# Reset the box If the remote camera setting is wrong, or forget the password, the following methods will enable the box recover to original settings and back to regular working status. Method 1:Send SMS command to the camera. password#reset# Method 2: Press the Reset button for two seconds when the camera is working. 11

ALARM The cam can send alarm message to at most 2 receivers and send a picture to the No.1 receiver by MMS when the camera detects movement or get signal from alarm sensors in Armed mode. It can also record 60 seconds video if there is SD card. Notice: The alarm function will pause 120 seconds after alarm once Even in Disarmed mode, Alarm in No.1 is effective. You need to set MMS parameters first if you want to receive picture Set alarm receivers Firstly, user need to pre-define at most 2 phone numbers to receive alarm SMS. Password#alarmnumber#Recever1# Recever2# Example: 123456# alarm number#13500000005#13500000006# 13500000005 and 13500000006 will receive alarm messages. Notice: The alarm receivers can be not same with user number, you can also set local police SMS center as alarm receiver. The receivers are those which are in the latest SMS order. Please make sure that the receivers can receive SMS and MMS. If you only need 1 receiver, send: Password#alarmnumber#Recever1# Delete alarm receivers Password#alarmnumber#0# Arm/Disarm 12

If the camera is armed, the camera will in Defense Mode. If the infrared sensor detects motion, the camera will send alarm SMS to all pre-defined alarm receivers and a picture to receiver 1 To arm/defense: Method 1: send following SMS to camera. Password#alarm#on# And you can see red LED is on indicating successful operation. To disarm/cancel defense: send following SMS to camera. Password#alarm#off# And you can see red LED is on is off indicating successful operation. Motion Detection When the camera is in armed mode, if the camera finds image changing in view range, it will alarm. Caution: Only effective for the camera s view range Do not block the camera lens. Environment luminance changes suddenly will trigger an alarm too, Poor light environment will cause poor sensitivity. You can select if the motion detection feature is on or off when armed. Password#motion#on# or Password#motion#off# Default status: on Set sensitivity level of C.M.D. You can set sensitivity level of camera motion detection(c.m.d.) Room 205, Great building, 21st Street.# If you want to delete alarm message, send: Password#alarmSMS# Notice: New message will replace the old one. The letters of alarm message must be less than 128.
