1. Filter Installation Do not connect your modem yet. It is important to count all sockets (Figure 1) on the telephone line you have subscribed for the Internet connection. Figure 1 If you have three or less sockets then you need to install a distributed filter (Figure 2) on each of the telephone sockets having a set plugged in. Figure 2 Generally each Internet service is provided with one distributed filter unless you have bought additional filters when subscribing for the service. If you have more socket outlets than filters, do not install your Internet service! Please buy more filters for the rest of the sockets. It is important that you disconnect any telephone sets from sockets that do not have a filter installed. If you fail to comply with this requirement you will experience an unreliable Internet service. 4
Disconnect any telephone sets or other equipment (such as fax machines) that you have on all telephone sockets. Insert the distributed filter in each telephone socket on your telephone line having a set plugged in to it. Reconnect the telephone sets and any other equipment through the distributed filter in the socket labelled PHONE (Figure 2 and 3). If you have four or more sockets then you need to contact GO Customer Care on freephone 8007 21 21 to set up an appointment for a Centralised Filter installation. 5

As soon as GO activates your Internet service, you will be informed by an SMS. Once you receive this SMS, you may proceed with the installation. Plug the Internet modem power supply into the electricity socket and switch on the modem (refer to below). Power LED Power LED Power LED If the Power LED is lit red or flashing amber, the Internet modem is malfunctioning or not able to start up. Unplug the Internet modem from its power supply. Wait five seconds, connect the modem again and turn it back on. If the problem persists, contact GO Customer Care on freephone 8007 21 21. 7
2. Installing Your Modem Speedtouch 546 Only Use the UTP network cable provided with the Internet modem to connect to the ethernet card installed in your PC. Cannot find your Ethernet Port on the PC? Contact GO Customer Care on freephone 8007 21 21. Connect the other end of the UTP network cable to one of the yellow ports (number 1, 2 or 3) at the back of the internet modem. The Ethernet LED should light green. Should the LED still not light green, your network card may be disabled. If you have Windows 7, 8/8.1 or 10, please follow section 3 for instructions to enable your network card. UTP Network Cable Ethernet Ports Ethernet LED 8
2. Installing Your Modem (cont.) Connect the modem to the provided filter with the RJ-11 wire (grey wire) as shown below. 3. Wired Network Setup Click on the Windows Start button on the task bar (bottom left corner of the screen) and select Control Panel. Win 8: While on desktop, move your mouse on the bottom right corner of your display until the charms toolbar appears and select Settings and Control Panel. Win 10: Right click the Windows Start button (bottom left corner of the screen) and select Control Panel. 10
Click on Network and Sharing Centre. Select Change Adapter Settings. 11
Right click on Local Area Connection or Ethernet and select Enable. If the Enable option is not listed, then the Network Card was already enabled. Right click again on Local Area Connection and select Properties. Choose Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click on Properties. Choose the Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically radio buttons. Click OK and OK again. Close the Network Connections window. 12
4. Wireless Network Setup Click on the Wireless Network Connection icon in the bottom right corner on the taskbar to show your available Wi-Fi networks. Win 8: Move your mouse on the bottom right corner to open the charms toolbar and click on Settings and Available to show your available Wi-Fi networks. Select your modem Network Name (listed on the underside/back of your modem) and click on Connect. 13
The Network Name and Wireless key are found on the underside of the modem. Enter the Wireless key (encryption key) as listed on the underside of the modem and click on Connect. Verify that the wireless network is Connected. Your Network Card is now set up. 14
5. Setting Up Your Internet Connection Open a web browser window (such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome) and in the Address Bar type 192.168.1.254 and press the Enter key to proceed. Click on Internet Enter your username (in the format: username@go.net.mt example: joeborg@go.net.mt) and password as supplied in the GO Service Order Form then click Connect. You should be taken to the below screen. 15
