Parents and guardians creating an Apple ID for children under the age of 13 PLEASE READ THIS! 1. Please use the school supplied Mid-Pacific Institute email address to create the Apple ID. We ensure that your child s email is safe by only allowing midpac.edu accounts to send and receive email from other midpac.edu accounts. All other email is blocked. Exceptions are made to allow accounts to be managed when needed. 2. Use YOUR birthdate, when creating this account. Using your child s birthdate when creating the Apple ID will lock the account you are creating and render their midpac email address unusable. 3. Be sure that YOU know the answers to the THREE (3) security questions. Be sure to write the answers to the questions down and keep them someplace safe. You may need to answer them in the future if your child s Apple ID is ever disabled. 4. Use YOUR PERSONAL email address as the optional rescue email. This is another security measure to ensure you can get into the account should it ever become disabled. Please contact Scott Yoshinaga [scott@midpac.edu] or Brian Grantham [bgrantham@midpac.edu] if you have any questions. last update: May 23, 2014
