Installation and upgrade Installation and upgrade Follow the installation or upgrade instructions appropriate for your configuration in the McAfee Web Reporter Product Guide. When you upgrade McAfee Web Reporter 32-bit to McAfee Web Reporter 64-bit, McAfee Web Reporter must be installed in a different directory do not use the existing McAfee Web Reporter 32-bit installation directory. During an upgrade the database schema will be updated, which can take a long time. The database and new reports are not available during the update. New features and enhancements The following new features and enhancements are included in this release: Installation Added patch notification in the user interface Updated list of supported platforms in the McAfee Web Reporter Product Guide Log sources Added support to process IPv6 addresses in log files Added support to connect to log sources with host names that resolve to IPv6 addresses for log file collection; however, raw IPv6 addresses are not supported Logon accounts Added the ability to disable logon accounts, including administrator accounts Databases Added database partitioning capability for the following databases: Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2008 Enterprise Edition Oracle 10g and Oracle 11g Enterprise Edition Added a progress indicator for database upgrades and partitioning Added support to connect to the following databases using IPv6 addresses: Oracle 11g Release 2 using an IPv6 address or a host name that resolves to an IPv6 address Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or SQL Server 2008 Enterprise Edition using a host name that resolves to an IPv6 address 2 McAfee Web Reporter 5.2.0 Release Notes
New features and enhancements Directories You can now use any directory attribute as the group key when configuring an external directory in McAfee Web Reporter. This means the group key might not be a real group attribute, but is an attribute you want to use to identify groups in your directory. Added support to connect to the following directories using IPv6 addresses or host names that resolve to an IPv6 address: Microsoft Active Directory Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) Sun Java System Directory Server Browse time Browse time calculation is now always enabled in McAfee Web Reporter Added the ability to configure the amount of browse time to display per site visit. Configure browse time using the Browse Time Threshold and Default Browse Time options. See the McAfee Web Reporter Product Guide and McAfee Web Reporter Online Help for more information. Email Added support for email servers using IPv6 addresses or host names that resolve to IPv6 addresses Report console Use options on the Report Console window to manage Quick View favorite reports and advanced reports. Go to Reports Manage Reports Report Console. The report console allows you to: Add, edit, and delete Quick View favorite reports and advanced reports. View a list of results for a specific report, including the name and date the report result was generated. Resolved issues Advanced reports Preconfigured advanced reports are now non-editable; make a copy of any preconfigured report to customize it Advanced reports now display IPv6 addresses Enhanced the appearance of advanced reports Added support for FTP servers with host names that resolve to IPv6 addresses; however, raw IPv6 addresses are not supported Profile Users can now select any day of the week as the first day of the week. The ServicePortal homepage appears with a welcome message at the top. If you do not have an account but have received a grant number: In the User Login section, click New User. Complete the information and follow the prompts to set up your account. If you do not have an account or grant number, contact Customer Service. 3 In the Self Service section, click Search the KnowledgeBase. The KnowledgeBase welcome page appears. 4 In the Ask a Question section, type KB70991, then click Ask. The KnowledgeBase article appears with any known issues.
