What is estatements? estatements is a service provided by your institution to allow you to view your documents through the Internet. As an estatement user, you have a personalized estatement home page that you can use to access all the documents archived for you by your institution. In addition, your institution can send you an email notification each time a new document is available. How Can I Access My estatement? You can access your estatement home page and documents through the Internet in several ways. 1. By e-mail notification. As an estatement customer, you can opt to regularly receive e-mails when your document is available. To access the document, simply click the link to the document in the e-mail you receive. 2. By adding a bookmark. You can access estatement at any time by opening your browser to your estatement web address. You may want to bookmark your estatement home page in your browser to return to it in the future. 3. By a link on your institution s home page. Contact your institution if you do not know where the link is located. When you access your estatement page, you may need to provide a username and password to access your home page. estatement Access Requirements To access estatements, you need either Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.0 or higher or Netscape version 6.1 or higher to serve as your browser. You can download a free browser by accessing one of the links below. Microsoft Internet Explorer: Mozilla Firefox: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ http://www.mozilla.com/en-us/firefox/ie.html In addition, you may need Adobe Acrobat Reader version 4.0 or higher, or a TIFF viewer, to view your documents. NOTE: For links to Adobe Acrobat and a TIFF viewer, see Viewing a Document on page 5. Digital Document Systems 3

Viewing Your estatement Home Page Your estatement home page has three main areas. The Documents area lists the document types for which estatement documents are available. The Unviewed Documents area includes the estatement documents that you have not viewed yet. After you view a document in your Unviewed Documents area, the link no longer appears under Unviewed Documents. However, you can access the document from your Documents list. In addition, you can remove all the documents from the Unviewed Documents area by clicking the Mark All Viewed link. The Links area includes links related to your institution. It also may include links that allow you to change your estatement password, email address, and other information. estatement Home Page Digital Document Systems 4

Viewing a Document When you click the link to a document on your Documents list or your Unviewed Documents list, the document is displayed in your browser. Depending on your institution, you may have several tabs for displaying your document in different ways. Click on a tab at the top of the document to display an alternate view of the document. If you accessed the document from your Documents list (rather than the Unviewed Document list), links to previous versions of your document are displayed on the right side. estatement Document NOTE: If you have trouble opening a document, you may see an error message indicating that you need to install a PDF viewer or a TIFF viewer. If you need a PDF viewer, you will see a window asking whether you would like to download a file or save it to disk. Cancel the window and install Acrobat Reader to view your statement. To install a free PDF viewer, open http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html in your browser and follow the instructions to download and install Acrobat Reader. If you are not able to open a TIF image file, you will need to install a TIFF viewer to see your document. To install a free TIFF viewer, open http://www.alternatiff.com/ in your browser and follow the instructions to download and install AlternaTIFF. Digital Document Systems 5

Downloading a Statement to Microsoft Excel In some cases, your statement may have a link that allows you to download the data to a home banking package or to a file. The following is an example of a statement with statement data download links: To download a statement to a CSV file (or to Excel): Do this Access your statement and click the Csv link for your account. Your statement may have several links depending on the number of accounts you have. When prompted to save the file, click Save. Then select a filename and location and click Save. The CSV file can be opened in Microsoft Excel, Notepad, or another program. Digital Document Systems 6

How to Print Your estatement Document If you have a printer, you can print your estatement document directly from your browser. Depending on your browser and the type of viewer in which your document is displayed, there are different ways to print a document. If your document is displayed with a printer icon in the menu bar, click the icon to print the document, and select the number of pages to print. Be sure to preview the print, if available. If no printer icon is displayed, click the File menu in your browser, and click Print. Preview the print, if available. You may need to adjust the margins to print the entire document. If you have trouble printing, contact your institution s estatement administrator. Open Solutions COWWW Print Capture DDS features a Printer Driver that allows you to capture the printed output from any Windows program. The driver creates a TIFF file of the document, and the text is saved for each page, if available from Windows. Once installed, this printer driver creates a printer called Open Solutions COWWW Print Capture. NOTE: This printer driver is Supported in Windows 2000, 2003, and XP. Features The Open Solutions COWWW Print Capture printer features the following: Full Color / Black & White 100-600 DPI resolution Works with any Windows program Extracts page text Can be installed on a network server Resetting Your Password Depending on your institution, you may be able to change your password online, or you may need to contact your institution s administrator to change your password. If you can change your password online, the link is under the Links section of your estatement home page. When you access the Change Password page, type in your existing password and new password twice, and click Save. Password Rules For enhanced security, DDS passwords are required to comply with a set of rules that make each user s login information safer. Digital Document Systems 7

The following rules apply for all user passwords: Must be at least X number of characters in length. NOTE: Your institution has the option to set this limit. Cannot contain leading spaces, trailing spaces, or blank spaces of any kind. Cannot contain consecutive repeated characters. Cannot be the same as user names. Must contain at least one uppercase character. Must contain at least one lowercase character. Must contain at least one numeric character. Must contain at least one punctuation character. The User Properties table stores old passwords each time a password is changed. Users cannot re-use any of the last X number of passwords. NOTE: Your institution has the option to set this limit. Users cannot change passwords until X amount of time has passed since their last password change. NOTE: Your institution has the option to set this limit. RSA Multi Factor Authentication RSA Adaptive Authentication is a flexible, layered authentication solution. Open Solutions offers the use of RSA s challenge question authentication service when you access the DDS application. IMPORTANT! If your bank has not purchased the RSA add-on, and if you do not enter the DDS application through Home banking, thereby using the standalone DDS login page, RSA does not apply to you. Challenge Questions Authentication Process If you attempt to log in to DDS and the system determines there is additional risk, the challenge question authentication process automatically launches. The following steps detail what you encounter as you navigate through the additional authentication process. 1. Log in to DDS (enter your USER NAME and PASSWORD). Digital Document Systems 8

2. Click the Login button. Risk-based Authentication analyzes the risk based on your profile. In a low risk scenario, the DDS home page displays. If a high-risk is determined, further authentication is required, and you are redirected to the Riskbased Authentication screen, where you are prompted to answer the challenge questions stored for you. 3. Answer the challenge question and click Submit. After passing the authentication successfully, Riskbased Authentication redirects you to the DDS home page. Digital Document Systems 9

If you fail to answer the challenge question correctly, the following warning screen displays: IMPORTANT! You have a limited number of attempts to answer the challenge questions correctly. If you do not answer correctly in the number of attempts designated by your institution, your status will be locked within the RSA Authentication module, and the following screen displays: Digital Document Systems 10

4. If your account is disabled, contact your administrator to verify your identity and have your account reenabled. Digital Document Systems 11

Resetting Your Name, Email, and Email Delivery Option Depending on your institution, you may be able to reset your name, e-mail address, and estatement notification through your browser. If you can change these estatement details online, the link is under the Links section of your estatement home page. For some institutions, you cannot change these details online, but you can contact the institution if you need to make changes. User Preferences page To change this Description Email your option to receive estatement notifications via email Do this. Type the new name in the Description field and click Change. Type the new email address in the Email field and click Change. Under Email Delivery Options, check the box if you would like to be notified by email whenever a new document is available on your estatement home page. Click Change. Note: A change in subscriptions gets immediately modified on the system by the appearance of an Added or Removed status next to the subscriptions. Uncheck the box if you do not want to receive an email each time a new document is available. Whether this box is checked or unchecked, you can still access your new document when you open your estatement home page in the browser. Verifying your Email Address Your institution may require that you verify your email address before you can receive edeliveries for your new documents. If so, any time you change your email address, the system will send you a re-verification email to confirm your email address. A notice will also appear on your estatements home page if you are required to verify your email address, and the notice will disappear once you have clicked on the link in the verification email sent to you by the system. If you cannot locate the verification email you received, you can click the Resend Email Verification Message link to send another one to the email address you have supplied. NOTE: This link will not be visible, nor will a verification email be sent unless this feature is enabled and you are set up to receive estatements. To resend a verification email to your email address: 1. Click Email and Description under the Links section of your estatement home page. The User Preferences page will display. 2. Click the Resend Email Verification Message link. An email verification message will be sent to your email account. 3. Locate the email and click the link contained in the email to verify your email address. Digital Document Systems 12

Logging Out of estatements When you exit estatements, click the Logout link, or close your browser. It is important to do one of these two steps to ensure that no one else can view your documents. Digital Document Systems 13
