Introduction_V2 Replication status dashboard Replication information without sign-in into the customer system. Receive periodically replication and system information. Introduction The replication dashboard is developed for Quick-EDD/HA software from Traders and is supported from Quick-EDD/HA Tools version V150901. The dashboard is based on the input from the Quick-EDD/TOOLS program EDH_SPVLST. This program can send an email with the replication status and system information. The IBM POWER i system should be enabled to send periodically email to our report server. This can be done through a jobschedule or an own CL program that runs with delays. The email address to send to is report@edhreport.com. The dashboard is provided as is and does NOT guarantee uptime. The time customer data is saved in our database is also limited to x number of months. Depending on your user/sign-in status, partner or office/distributor, information will be shown. A office/distributor can see all there partners and there client information. A partner can see all information from there clients. A client can only see his own systems. Correct order to setup a new office till client level. First the ADMIN user must create an OFFICE Second the office user can create PARTNER(s) and assign this to there OFFICE Create a CLIENT and assign this to a PARTNER Finally create a SYSTEM and assign this to a CLIENT If you are an OFFICE and also sell direct to customers, then create an office and partner for your self. Emails are now processed within 5 minutes. This is now the minimal delay to send emails to report@edhreport.com. - Added extra information and email button on Client-, Partner- and Office page. - Added for Admin user level a report function - Added a new client level. Environments can be * for all of named for a specific environment Exclude environments here you can define environments that will be excluded from the spoolfile (example test- or old environments) Mail address must be report@edhreport.com this where we handle the spoolfiles for the dashboard Subject can be left default or changed to your own needs Sender this be the same as configured in the dashboard at the customer info (case sensitive, must be equal in system setti ngs dashboard (lower-case and UPPERCASE)) If you also want to receive this spoolfile at an other email box the press F9 and page down to go to the next screen where you can add a second email address to send the spoolfile to. In order to let the system send emails you need to define the SMTP server in Quick-EDD. Replication status Depending on the number of environments these lines can be one or more. Date shown is date that job (replication) started. Work Active Jobs SBS PMEDH Gives an overview of the PMEDH sub-system with used processor time. If a different sub-system is configured for PMEDH an empty work active jobs will shown. This page got an automatic refresh every 120 seconds. Screen can be viewed in portrait and is 1000PX width and 1920 height. * Menu options depend on user status. Main menu Home: Dashboard overview screen System: IBM i POWER systems definitions. Systems will assigned to Clients. Clients: End user (customer) information. A customer can have multiple systems with Quick-EDD. A client can only see their own systems. Partners: Clients are assigned to a partner. A partner can see all his own clients. If a client got a third party 24/7 contact then it is also possible that not only the partner can see the system, but also the 24/7 contact partner. Offices: This are Traders's (QSL) offices and distributors. They can see all their partners, clients and systems. Status: There are 4 status blocks. If there are no systems defined for a specific status, then we will not show this status on screen. - HIGH PRIORITY Systems replication information with any value higher then threshold and/or status "END" will be automatically moved to this "HIGH" priority level (status, delay, error and entries) and systems which did not send-in new information longer then 24 hours. Systems will automatically be moved back to their original priority when all value's are under the threshold again and status is "RUN". - 1st PRIORITY, 2nd PRIORITY and OTHER are also available to separate systems from each other. Priority 1: These are client with high monitoring priorities. For example new clients, migrations and/ or switches planned. Priority 2: Clients with normal priorities. For example clients with monitoring contract Other: All other clients without any contract If you don't have any customers assigned to a specific priority, then this specific priority will not be shown on this screen. * You can decide what priority you give to your customers Columns: If a value goes out of range a warning sign will be shown If you click [warning] next to Source, you will only get a list of the entries that have warnings (are above threshold). Status: Replication status Run or END. If END a warning will be shown. If END replication is NOT active. Delay: Time delay in seconds. If greater than 900 (seconds) by default a warning will be shown. Wait: Number of objects waiting to be synced. Ok: Number of objects that are synced OK after start of replication. Active: Number of active sync tasks running. Error: Number of objects that are Not OK (NOK). By default if more then 0 (zero) a warning will be shown. Objects in error need attention, must be fixed. Check object(s) in replication environment, read messages on source and target system. Entries: Number of journal entries waiting to be applied on target. By default if more then 500.000 entries a warning will be shown. * you can change the defaults at the edit customer screen. You can set different values for each client. ADD SYSTEM The add system will hold information about priority, warnings, additional system information, etcetera. Dashboard settings Active if the client is active it will be shown on the dashboard, if not active you would see the client in the dashboard, also there will not be an import of the email data into the database. Priority: Depending on your level you can set a priority level. This can be different for all levels. Exclude code If the are in Quick-EDD environments that you don't want to see in your dashboard you can enter the environment code to omit the form the dashboard. Example (A1_SND). You DO NOT have to exclude RCV environments these will automatically be excluded from the environments. Delay Limit default value before a warning is shown, can be changed. Email alerts These setti ngs are available from partner level and up. Email alerts can be configured based on the RUN / END status and number of ERRORS. You can also define a delay time before emails are resend. Emails can be send the multiple email addresses. Mail on Status END: Will send an email when an environment got the status END. Mail on Error: Will send an email if there are errors above the threshold number. Put customer on CC: Email address will be used as defined for the contact name for this system. Put partner on CC: Email will be send to email address defined at the partner setti ngs. Put office on CC: Email will be send to email address defined at the office setti ngs. Extra mail address: Here you can define extra email addresses comma separated. Mail delay: Delay time in seconds before next email will be send for same status. Ignore warnings schema During planned downtime (IPL, BACKUP, etc...) there is an option to ignore warnings for email and reporting. During the selected days and hours no emails will be send to selected addresses and for reporting those lines will not be include in the reports. Each row enables you to set a time to exclude. This program is initiated by the job scheduler entry (x times a day) or there is a loop program (CL) created in the PMEDH sub-system which is started by the job scheduler 2) There is a communication error on outgoing mails or common loss of internet connection; If this is a planned stop, you can safely ignore this mail. If this is an unplanned stop of communication, please check the 2 common reasons named above. The system will automatically be disabled from the dashboard after 168 hours (1 week) of communication loss. Systems can be enabled again via the system settings in the Quick-EDD Dashboard.
