4. Select Finish and the file(s) will be imported
Export: 1. Select a file/multiple files and you can choose any of the below two options: a. From the Menu bar, click on Collaboration Java Free Content Transfer (New) Export (Files Only) b. Right click on the selected file(s) and click on the Export Files only Java free option 2. a. If one file is selected, the export will be done immediately and you will get a prompt in your browser to Open / Save your file. Choose the proper option as you wish. b. If multiple files are selected, one new tab will open with the ready links for the files. On clicking on the individual links, the respective file will be downloaded.
Where are my files exported to? If you already have preference set in your browser for the default download location, files will be downloaded at that particular location without any prompts. The Check In wizard will open. Please click on Browse and select the file to Check In and click on Next (if you have selected multiple files to check in)/ Finish (if you have selected only one file to check in or this is the last file)
3. Files will be Checked In to the repository Cancel Checkout: 1. Select an already Checked Out file/multiple Checked Out files and you can choose any of the below two options: a. From the Menu bar, click on Collaboration Simplified Content Transfer (New) Cancel Check Out (Files Only) b. Right click on the selected file(s) and click on the Cancel Checkout Files only Java free option 2. A warning message will appear for each file selected stating that the changes since last check in will be lost due to this action. Click on Next/Finish
3. The Check out on the files will be cancelled
Where files are downloaded for Export and Checkout? As this export operation is Java free, so file download is taken care by Browser and it happens in the default way as it is for most of the websites (Example : GE Library, Box.com, GE Colab) Now there can be two different cases with your Browser settings: 1. Default file download location is set in your browser 2. Your browser prompts each time while downloading a file 1- Default file download location is set in your browser In this case, file will be downloaded without any prompt to the preferred location. Generally all Internet Explorer browsers have this option enabled. For Internet Explorer: Files are downloaded and saved to the default location once you click on the Save button: If you want your file to be saved at another location, click on Save as option and select the other location.
If you want to open the file after download, click on Save and open option For Google Chrome: Files are downloaded to the default location once you download the file: Here, if you want to view the file, you can just double click on the downloaded file logo at bottom left of the browser window. Otherwise, you can also click on the arrow in the logo and click on Show in folder option as shown in the screenshot above.
