Where files are downloaded for Export and Checkout? As this export operation is Java free, so file download is taken care by Browser and it happens in the default way as it is for most of the websites (Example : GE Library, Box.com, GE Colab) Now there can be two different cases with your Browser settings: 1. Default file download location is set in your browser 2. Your browser prompts each time while downloading a file 1- Default file download location is set in your browser In this case, file will be downloaded without any prompt to the preferred location. Generally all Internet Explorer browsers have this option enabled. For Internet Explorer: Files are downloaded and saved to the default location once you click on the Save button: If you want your file to be saved at another location, click on Save as option and select the other location.

If you want to open the file after download, click on Save and open option For Google Chrome: Files are downloaded to the default location once you download the file: Here, if you want to view the file, you can just double click on the downloaded file logo at bottom left of the browser window. Otherwise, you can also click on the arrow in the logo and click on Show in folder option as shown in the screenshot above.

2- Your browser prompts each time while downloading a file This is pretty common for earlier version of Internet Explorer (IE 8, IE 9) and also many users prefer this settings in Chrome too. In this settings, browser prompts us each time to select a folder to download the file. You have to select the particular folder where you want your file to be downloaded at. For Internet Explorer: For Chrome:
