TheR&Dfor NGN ThePhosphorus Project focused on developing a control plane enabling to offer the bandwidth on-demand in the heterogenousdomains solution provided as an open source software. The PortaOpticaStudy Project aims to design the optical networks in East Europe and the Caucasus region
R&D in Grids(European Projects) GridLabtechnologies help real end-users to develop and run their grid-enabled applications. We have been testing our solutions with Cactus (a framework for scientific numerical simulations) and Triana(a visual workflow-oriented oriented data analysis environment). The basic aim of the project is toidentify the instruments and user communities requiring the remote access to the scientific equipment. DORII (Deployment of Remote Instrumentation Infrastructure) aims to deploy e-infrastructure for new scientific communities, where ICT technology is still not present at the appropriate level today, while it is demanded to empower the daily work of communities. The main focus of the DORII project is on groups of scientific users with experimental equipment and instumentationthat that are currently not or only partially integrated in the European e-infratsructures.
