SECTION 1: Creating an eboard Getting Started 1. Access the Internet and go to http://www.eboard.com. 2. Click Create next to Create an eboard. Click here to create your eboard. Create an eboard Step 1 1. Enter a name for your eboard. Note: The name you choose cannot be changed. 2. Enter your email address and confirm your email address. 3. Read and accept the user agreement. 4. Click continue at the bottom of the page. The eboard name cannot be changed! Step 2 1. Enter your read password (optional used to limit access to your eboard). 2. Enter your post/edit password (suggested used to edit your eboard). 3. Click go to my eboard. 4. You are now in admin mode where you can add content and make changes to your eboard. Note: You will be emailed confirmation of your new eboard along with your admin password which you will need to access the Control Panel. Save this email! Congratulations! Your eboard is now published on the Web! This is a 30 day free trial. Continue you subscription beyond 30 days for only $39 per year! For details on how to subscribe, see page 9. 3

Accessing Your eboard There are two ways to access your eboard. 1. Go to http://www.eboard.com and type the name of your eboard in the box next to Enter eboard. 2. Go directly to your eboard using the address http://www.eboardname.eboard.com (substitute your eboard name for eboardname in the URL). Passwords Enter the name of your eboard here eboard Confirmation You will receive an email from eboard with the name of your eboard and your passwords. Save this email you may need it later! Forgot Your Password? 1. Go to http://www.eboard.com and type the name of your eboard in the box next to Enter eboard. 2. Click forgot passwords? 3. Enter your email address. 4. Click submit and eboard will email you your password. SECTION 2: Adding Content to eboard You must be in post/edit mode to make changes to your eboard. Click here to make changes to your eboard To Access Post/Edit Mode 1. Access the Internet and go to your eboard. 2. Click go to post/edit mode. 3. Enter your edit password. 4. Click submit. Click here to go to the control panel to add tabs To Access Admin Mode 1. Enter your eboard in Edit mode. 2. Click go to control panel. 3. Enter your admin password. 4. Click submit. Note: Your admin password was emailed to you when you created your eboard. 4

To Add a Note Click here to add a note 1. Click Add a Note at the top of the screen. 2. Enter the Note Title this will appear on the front of the note when posted. 3. In the text box type the body of your note. - Type in a web or email address and they will automatically become hyperlinks when the note is posted. 4. Click Spell Check to spell check the contents of the text box. 5. Click submit at bottom of note. Note: You have about 15 minutes to post your note once you have started it. You may lose your work if you take longer than this. If you need more time, simply post your note by clicking submit at the bottom of the page after 10 minutes, and go back into your note to edit it. Note Options Attaching Pictures or Files to Notes 1. Under options click Browse. 2. Find the file you want to attach. 3. Write a caption for the attached file (optional). 4. Click submit at bottom of note. Don t forget to check your spelling! Add Additional Attachments If you have multiple attachments to be included in a Note, you can add up to 10 at once. 1. Click add additional attachments. 2. Click submit. 3. Click browse and attach up to 10 files. 4. Click upload. (Be patient posting files may take several minutes depending on your Internet connection and the size of the files) Click submit to post your note inote Discussions inotes are online threaded discussions which allow anyone with access to your eboard to post a message that will appear to visitors within the note. Creating an inote Discussion 1. Click Add a note, or click the edit link of the note you want to add a discussion to. 2. Under options check make this an inote. Check here to create an inote discussion. 5

Posting to an inote discussion 1. Click the title of the note to open the note. 2. Enter your name. 3. In the text box enter your message. 4. Click submit at bottom of note. Note: Use discretion when using inotes as the identity of the poster cannot be confirmed. The IP address of the location where the note was submitted will appear next to the person s name. Editing an inote discussion 1. Click the edit link on the note with the discussion. 2. To delete an entry, check the box above the entry. 3. To end the discussion and leave the content on the note, check read only. Check box to delete the inote entry. Deleting an inote Discussion 1. Click the edit link on the note with the discussion. 2. Under options remove the check next to enable inote. Remove check from box to delete the discussion. Note Color 1. Click the down arrow next to Note Color and choose a color for your note. 2. Click submit at bottom of note. SECTION 3: Editing Content in eboard Click the note title to read the note. To Edit or Delete a Note After a note has been posted, you can edit or delete any of the contents of the note. Edit a Note 1. Click the edit link on the note you wish to edit 2. Make changes to the contents of the note. Click Edit to make changes to the note. 6

Delete a Note 1. Click the delete link on the note you wish to delete. 2. Click OK to confirm that you want to delete the note. Click here to remove this attachment. Remove File Attachments 1. Click edit on the note from which you want to remove an attachment. 2. Check the box next to to remove this attachment, check this box. Order of Notes 1. Click edit on the note you wish to move. 2. Click the down arrow next to Note Order and choose the order of the note. SECTION 4: Using the Control Panel The control panel is where you manage you eboard including: - eboard information - Passwords - Background colors - Tabs - eboard Options Accessing the control panel Click here to go to the control panel. 1. Go to post/edit mode in your eboard. 2. Click go to control panel. 3. Enter your admin password. (Your admin password was emailed to you when your eboard was created. If you do not have access to your admin password, click the forgot passwords link when prompted for your password) eboard Information eboard information On the top right of the control panel you will see the following information regarding your eboard: eboard Visits This is the number of visits to your eboard. Storage Space Each eboard is allowed 500kb of attachments during the 30 day free trial and 20mb when you upgrade your eboard. If you reach the maximum allowed storage, you will not be able to add additional attachments to your eboard. 7

Passwords Read Password: Change or remove your read password. Post/Edit Password: Change or remove your post/edit password. Admin Password: Change your admin password (this is required and cannot be removed). Tabs A Tab is a unique section of your eboard where you can post notes each eboard can be divided into up to 5 tabs. Create a Tab 1. In the create new tab box, enter a tab name. (You can use up to 10 characters) 2. Click update my eboard at bottom of page. You can add up to 5 tabs. Renaming a Tab 1. In the rename existing tab box, click the down arrow and select the tab you wish to rename. 2. In the rename tab to box, enter a new tab name. 3. Click update my eboard at bottom of page. Deleting a Tab 1. In the delete a tab box, click the down arrow and select the tab you wish to delete. 2. Click update my eboard at bottom of page. Note: When you delete a tab, you also delete all of the notes on that tab! eboard Options You can change your eboard by selecting options including: eboard Color click the down arrow and choose a color for your eboard. Note posting order check reverse note posting order to have new notes appear in first to last order. 8

Update my eboard click here to save any changes you make in the control panel. Subscribing to eboard Upgrade eboard Subscription Click Upgrade this eboard at the top of any eboard screen and follow directions to purchase your 1 year subscription to eboard for $39. Purchase using credit card, check, or purchase order. Renew eboard Subscription: Click Renew eboard in the control panel and follow directions to renew your annual subscription to eboard for $39.
