Yu can add the barcde values as variable data frm metadata surces r by values yu enter in the prperty. There is als an ptin t add white space n the sides f the barcdes. The barcdes can be saved as PNG (Default), EPS, PDF r SVG all f them are in RGB black. Yu can use different cnvert tls t get them t CMYK-black, fr example PitStp Server r callas pdftlbx Server. The barcde value yu enter must cmply with the frmat f the barcde type yu have selected. If nt, the jb file ends up in the errr flder. Cmpatibility Switch 13 update 1 and higher. Windws r Mac OSX. Cmpatibility third-party applicatins This app uses Zint t create the barcdes and GhstScript t save the PDF. Zint and GhstScript have t be installed by the user t the system. On Mac OSX yu can easily install Zint and GhstScript with Hmebrew, read mre abut this further dwn in this dcument. Cnnectins Make Barcde can have several input cnnectins and has the utging traffic light cnnectins. N settings are available f the utging cnnectin. Type f barcde Drpdwn menu with a lng list f available barcde types Default is set t Cde 128 Barcde value The value t be represented as the barcde. It includes errr checking t prevent illegal barcdes, if the value isn t allwed the jb file is ruted t the errr utput cnnectin. Inline value, just a static value (Default = 12345). Single-line text with variables defined. Define script expressin Filename f the barcde Inline value, just a static filename. Single-line text with variables defined (Default set t [Jb.NamePrper]) giving yu the name f the jb that entered the app. This will als give yu the ptin t use the barcde value as the filename if it is available as metadata in the jb. Define script expressin Shw human readable text Yes r N If set t N the readable text f the barcde value is nt shwn. (Default = Yes) Height f barcde Set a value f the resulting barcdes height in pints (pt). (Default = 30) Add white space Yes r N Width f white space (nly shwn if Yes is selected) Value is numerical in pints (pt). It will add the entered value f white t the left and right sides f the barcde. This is smetimes necessary fr easier machine reading f the barcde. Default is set t 10 pints.

Nte that yu have t select the ne that ends with an c. In Mac OSX it nrmally installs in /pt/lcal/bin/ and t be able t see that flder yu have t hld dwn CMD+Shift+Dt (.) in the file pen dialg. Then brwse t the file named gsc. In Windws it installs in the Prgram flder.

If yu are nt ging t utput barcdes in PDF-frmat GhstScript can be mitted. Easiest way t install n Mac OSX is t use Hmebrew that will install bth applicatins prperly fr yu. Hmebrew is fund here: https://brew.sh/index.html after yu have installed it the cmmands in Terminal t install the applicatins is as fllws: Zint: brew install zint GhstScript: brew install ghstscript Befre yu d any installatins check if yu already have these applicatins installed by writing the fllwing in Terminal: which zint which gsc which brew If it shws any path t ne f them yu have that ne already installed.
