4 CompuGroup Medical US CGM webscan Client Setup Packet Revised: 12.10.2015 CGM WEBSCAN TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS The technical requirements for CGM webscan are listed below. Server Requirements Details CGM webpractice Must meet the current CGM webpractice System Requirements. The most current version of the CGM webpractice System Requirements for Hosted and Self-Hosted clients can be found in the Knowledge Tree folder in CGM webpractice Help. Must be running on the most current version of CGM webpractice. Your Project Manager can provide you with the current version number. Initials Client Computer Requirements Internet Browser Details Microsoft Internet Explorer version 9, 10, or 11 with 128-bit Encryption Note: IE 10 and IE 11 are supported using Compatibility View only. Internet Explorer configured for CGM webpractice. Scanner A Twain compliant scanner must be installed on each workstation that will be using CGM webscan. Recommended: Inuvio EcoScan Card Scanners, Document Scanners and Automatic Document Feed Scanners. Operating System Note: Windows 8 does not support CGM webscan. Initials
CompuGroup Medical US CGM webscan Client Setup Packet Revised: 12.10.2015 5 WORKSTATION INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS The installation of the CGM webscan software must be performed on each workstation that will be using a scanner. A local administrator login is required to perform the installation steps. Installation and Registration 1. Log on to the workstation as a local administrator. 2. Download the installation software from the link you should have received in an email from Inuvio or use the applicable link below: a. www.innovativescanning.com/downloads/expressserviceapplication5.0-32bit.exe b. www.innovativescanning.com/downloads/expressserviceapplication5.0-64bit.exe. 3. Run the downloaded installation file. 4. The License Manager prompts you to enter the license key that you should have received via email. 5. Enter the registration information and click OK. 6. The Express Service Application starts installing. 7. Enter an administrator user account for your local workstation and click Save. 8. The End User License Agreement (EULA) displays. Accept and select the shortcuts you want to create. Select the scanner model that is (or will be) installed on this workstation. 9. After registration is complete, the Live Update service runs and a globe icon displays in the system tray on your desktop. Live Update will update the Express Service Application and the OCR templates to the most current version. Live Update icon

Verify Express Service Application is Running After the Live Update service has finished downloading and installing any updates, the Express Service Application icon will display in the System Tray. CGM webscan will not function within CGM webpractice until the Express Service Application is actively running and the icon is displayed. Express Service Application icon Confirm Internet Explorer (IE) Configuration Prior to logging into CGM webpractice, you should confirm that IE has been configured properly using the most current instructions available. The documents for configuring IE can be can be found in the Knowledge Tree folder in CGM webpractice Help. Verify.Net Trust To verify that Microsoft.Net security has been set correctly you will first need to open a Command Prompt window. Navigate to the Command Prompt program (Start, All Programs, Accessories, Command Prompt) and right-click Command Prompt. When the menu displays, select Run as Administrator.
