1. 3D SUPPORT 3D Globe Navigation 1. View the Moon in 3D Press to the globe icon in the top left, then select Lunar Globe (3D). 2. To Pan, hold Shift, then left click and drag your mouse. 3. To Tilt, hold Control, then left click, and drag your mouse. - Hint: Select Layers, Overlays, Satellite Positions and check Track Satellite. 2. NEW USER INTERFACE New UI Overview 1. The new left-side, slide-out toolbar gives you access to the tools shown below. Select any icon on the toolbar to begin. - Hint: The Query Tools, Probe Tools, and Search cannot be used in conjunction with the Lunar Globe (3D) projection. 2. NEW USER INTERFACE Query Tools 1. Line Path Query The line path query allows you to draw a line to one or more points and view the terrain s elevation along that path. Polygon Query The polygon query allows you to draw a polygon, with three or more points, around a region of interest (ROI) and return data on that ROI. - Hint: Double click, or reselect your first point to close the polygon. 2. NEW USER INTERFACE Probe Tool 1. Add Probe Select the +Add Probe button and left click on the lunar surface where you would like to place youre probe. Next, select a dataset from the dropdown menu. A pop-up window will open for you to view any cooresponding data. 2. NEW USER INTERFACE Product Search 1. Conduct Data Search Press the +Select Region button and draw a polygon with three or more points around any region of interest (ROI). Next, select a dataset from the dropdown menu. Products can be filtered or sorted by metadata parameters and displayed on the fly. Search example - Hint: Select, the title of an image within the returned list to display additional details and an intensity mapping Slider. - Hint: Double click, or reselect the first point, to finish creating your polygon. 2. NEW USER INTERFACE Settings 1. Export To export the current view, press the Download PNG+VRT button to download a compressed file. The compressed file will contain a.png and a.vrt file for use in geographic information systems (GIS). 2. Permalink The permalink give users a shareable link to QuickMap, including most data and settings currently being viewed. - Hint: Permalinks can be lengthy. Report an issue To report issues with QuickMap, left click on the Report an Issue. 3. BOOLEAN LAYERS Boolean Layers 1. Define Boolean Layers The Boolean Layers tool allows users to customize their data with easy-to-use, user-defined expressions. Use the dropdowns to specify a dataset and comparison type, then use the input field to create any numerical limits. - Hint: Use the plus icon to generate additional boolean parameters. - Hint: Using your mouse, hover over the input field to see any limitations on that layer s data.
