During an Archive run ADSDM061 generates message 9999 followed by a U0100 ABEND. 2. Changed Datacom DSOP from 1 to 4 as recommended by Datacom support. Option 1 is outdated and should be replaced by 4. SYMPTOMS: 1. U0100 abend and the following messages are issued: PET202I USER ABEND(U0100) AT PSW(078D1000 801A7D54). You will need to perform an update on the RCF key in the CXX entry of each CA Disk Datacom FDB that you use. 2. New CCUWPROC member DBCBUPDT has been added by this PTF. If you execute from a PROCLIB other than your CA Disk Target CCUWPROC, then the new DBCBUPDT PROC needs to be to copied to your production CA Disk PROCLIB. 3. To perform the FDB update, run the DBCBUPDT JCL which was added to the CCUWJCL library by this change. 4. You will have to run it for each CA Disk FILES DBID you use. 5. To verify the RCF key change you can run the following JCL:

The new CCUWJCL library members CNVTMIGn can reduce the conversion time by splitting the MCDS records into separate data sets and running multiple HSMGEN1 jobs concurrently. Review the HSMGEN1 member. This job sorts the MCDS records, created in Step 3, into VOLSER and file sequence number. This job creates the DFSMShsm and CA Disk commands in VOLSER sequence. Messages are printed indicating the DFSMShsm VOLSER and the space to recover the data sets on the volume. The DD statement JCL4ML1 points to the model JCL used for data sets stored on ML1 and JCL4ML2 to the model for ML2. Update these models to suit the requirements of your installation (members HSMCONM1 and HSMCONM2 of the INSTALL library). A SYSIN command controls the number of DFSMShsm volumes that are selected for processing. Decrease processing time by splitting the MCDS records into separate data sets and running multiple HSMGEN1 jobs concurrently. Multiple jobs mean more space that is used and more ML1 and ML2 units that are used during processing. Two methods exist to run multiple jobs: a. Create separate jobs that are based on the full VOLSER list and then cut it into pieces. We executed two jobs in parallel. Each job creates a number of records (15000 in the sample) that are treated and submitted with the next job. The samples are named HSMMIGnn. You can find them in our CCUWJCL library. Create parallel JCLs which manage the VOLSER one by one. Each new submit removes the first VOLSER on the list. Each JCL submitted once automatically starts the other. Only HSMCOV01 creates the complete VOLSER list. Then a loop starts with HSMCOV02 and HSMCOV03. The loop continues until there are no more tapes to convert. To 9. Review the HSMGEN1 member. This job sorts the MCDS records, created in Step 3, into VOLSER and file sequence number. Then it creates the DFSMShsm and CA Disk commands in

Release Service CA Disk Backup and Restore 12.5 7 CA RS 1609 - PTF RO91146 VOLSER sequence. Messages are printed indicating the DFSMShsm VOLSER and the space required to recover the data sets on the volume. The DD statement JCL4ML1 points to the model JCL used for data sets stored on ML1 and JCL4ML2 to the model for ML2. Update these models (members HSMCONM1 and HSMCONM2 of the CCUWJCL library) to suit the requirements of your installation. A SYSIN command controls the number of DFSMShsm volumes that are selected for processing. To achieve a faster conversion, you can decrease processing time by splitting the MCDS records into separate data sets and running multiple HSMGEN1 jobs concurrently. Multiple jobs mean more space that is used and more ML1 and ML2 units that are used during processing. The process creates separate jobs that split the full VOLSER list among multiple jobs that can run concurrently. Job CNVTMIG1 creates sorted output (Hlq.OUTPUT.SORTM) from the DFSMShsm MCDS which will be used as input for the next jobs CNVTMIG2 and CNVTMIG3, which will run in parallel. The CNVTMIG2 job will only select the first 15000 records and leave the remainder in the sorted output file (Hlq.OUTPUT.SORTM). The last step of CNVTMIG2 automatically submits the CNVTMIG3 job to continue selecting the next 15000 records of this data set. Each selection reduces the number of records in Hlq.OUTPUT.SORTM. CNVTMIG3 processes the next 15000 DFSMShsm MCDS records and leaves the rest in the sorted output file (Hlq.OUTPUT.SORTM). The last step of CNVTMIG3 automatically submits the CNVTMIG3 job to continue converting the next 15000 records of this data set. The samples are in the members named CNVTMIGn in the CCUWJCL library. ).
