ENTRIES = ++PTF (RO79717) S047 WHEN ADSMI002 RUNS UNAUTHORIZED / IMPROVED DIAGNOSTICS There are 3 problems being addressed: 1) Possible recursion and an ABEND during PET tracing if everything is traced. 2) An S047 ABEND in ADSMI002 if it is run from an unauthorized library. 3) An enhancement to allow the PTF/APAR number to appear in traces and dumps. 1) An abend occurs in a tracing module trying to ENQ a resource that is already ENQed. 2) A S047 abend occurs in ADSMI002 prior to passing control to the program on the EXEC statement. 3) The characters `MODID` are displayed in dumps and traces rather than the PTF/APAR number. 1) The job fails with an abend S138 before completing processing. 2) The program is not run and the step abends with a S047. 3) The PTF/APAR number is not displayed in dumps and traces for certain modules. 1) Don't try to trace everything. Messages DB01329I and DB01332I. 2 - PET traces are not generated if requested. 3 - CA Datacom STATUS command will show messages DB01329I and DB01332I: "LOCKV nnnnnn WAIT E/C CA DMS" for some of the ARCHIVE jobs. 1 - DMSAR completion is delayed until HSMGEN2 completes. 2 - PET trace information is not available. 3 - Execution of the ARCHIVE jobs takes a longer amount of time. 1 - Reply 'END' to message 4570 from HSMGEN2 to stop its execution and allow DMSAR to continue. 2 - Use MTF trace if possible. 3 - None.
