for Browser Plugin Installation Guide 1 Preface This document describes how to install/uninstall for Browser Plugin. 1.1 Intended Audience This document is aimed at a support engineer of product agency or a client PC administrator. 1.2 Terms used in products The following terms are those most commonly used in products. No Term Definition 1 for Browser One of products. Providing protection of HTML content via IE and client plugins. Old name: Protected Browser(PB) 2 for Browser Plugin for Browser Client Plugins for Internet Explorer. Old name: PB Plugin 3 Toolbar Add-ons of Internet Explorer. 2 Installing Plugins 2.1 System requirements Plugins has the following requirements for Clients. Supported Platform O S: Language: Windows 7 Professional (SP1) Windows 7 Enterprise (SP1) Windows Vista Business (SP1/SP2) Windows Vista Enterprise (SP1/SP2) Windows XP Professional (SP1/SP2/SP3) Windows XP Home Edition(SP1/SP2/SP3) Windows 2000 Professional (SP4) Japanese / English Browser: Internet Explorer 6.0 / 7.0 / 8.0 / 9.0 Note: Other OSes and Languages are not supported currently. (The alert messages of plug-in are displayed in English if it used other languages OS.) 5 / 24

for Browser Plugin Installation Guide 2.2 Authority required by Plugins Installer User is required an Administrative privilege to run Plugins Installer on Windows XP(SP2/SP3) / Vista(SP1/SP2) / Windows 7 and an Administrative/Power User privilege to run the installer on Windows 2000(SP4) / XP(SP1). Note: Though Standard User cannot run the installer, he/she can access to the protected contents after installation. 2.3 Installation 2.3.1 Before installation You should confirm the following things before you start an installation. Are there any external applications launching Internet Explorer during Plugins Installation? If the answer is Yes, you should close or stop all those applications before installation, otherwise installation might fail. 2.3.2 Performing installation Any requests to protected content without Clients Plugins installed will lead to an automatic redirect to Installation Page. Please follow the steps described below to download the Plugins Installer and perform an installation. 1. If you access to a secure content (by for Browser) without for Browser Plugins installed. Server redirects the request to Plugins Installation Page. (Figure 1) If you access to a secure content with an older version of Plugins installed than that of Server, redirect is made to Plugins Upgrade Page. Note: Plugins Installation/Upgrade Page Japanase edition is displayed by default. You might prefer access to English edition (Figure 2) by clicking on the upper right English link on the page. 6 / 24

Please clike on Software License Agreement to open the agreement before starting installation. If you agree to all the terms stated in the agreement, click Click here to download Plugins Installer. After downloading the installer, prompted Do you want to run this software?, click Run to continue. Note: An Administrative privilege or Power User privilege is required to run the installer. for Browser Plugin Installation Guide 2.4 After installation First of all, you should make sure that third-party browser extensions are enabled in options of Internet Explorer. If it is unabled, Plugins cannot be loaded and as a result, you are unable to view contents secured by Plugins. By default, this setting will be set enabled during the installation of for Browser Plugin if it is disabled. Internet Options Advanced Browsing Enable third-party browser extensions (requires restart) (Figure 16) Enable third-party browser extensions (Figure 16) There are two ways to know whether the installation is successful or not. 1. Is Toolbar displayed on your Internet Explorer window? If so, it means the installation is successful (Figure 17). If you are unable to see it, go to the next step. Toolbar (Figure 17) 12 / 24

for Browser Plugin Installation Guide 2. Go to View -> Toolbars. If Toolbar is present in the menu, it means the installation is successful. (Figure 18) (Figure 18) 2.5 Viewing content policy ( for Browser Plugin) When current content is under protection of for Browser, the Protected light is in red, otherwise word Unprotected is greyed out. You can view which policies are applied to current secure content by clicking on the word Document Policy in the toolbar. (Figure 19) Protected light (Figure 19) 1. for Browser Plugin Installation Guide 2. Viewable and Printable Policy (Figure 21) (Figure 21) 2.6 Uninstallation This section describes the steps to uninstall Plugins. Once you uninstall the plugins, you cannot view content protected by Server. Any attemps to access a secure content after uninstallation will invoke a redirect to Plugins Installation Page. 2.6.1 Performing uninstallation 1. First, uninstall for Browser Plugin. Open Add or Remove programs window from Control Panel. Select for Browser from the list of Currently installed programs and click on Change/Remove button. (Figure 26) (Figure 26) 2. The following message prompts you if there are some Internet Explorer windows opening. Click OK to continue. (Figure 27) (Figure 27) 14 / 24

for Browser Plugin Installation Guide 3 Operation instructions for Plugin 3.1 Start for Browser Plugin Since for Browser Plugin is installed as an Internet Explorer Add-On, It is immediately available after the plugin installation. Therefore for Brower Plugin runs automatically as internet explorer starts. NOTES Internet Explorer protected mode is set by [Internet Option] -> [Security] under the UAC environment of Windows Vista or Windows 7. If the web site of protected contents is selected as [Internet] zone, problems may occur by Internet Explorer protected mode. To avoid the problem, please register the sites to [Trusted sites]. 3.2 Confirm the version of for Browser Plugin On IE toolbar Click []->[About for Browser] Prompted Version Dialog: 16 / 24

for Browser Plugin Installation Guide 3.3 Manage Add-On If the tools bar icon is not shown on the IE tools while for Browser plugin is confirmed to be installed successfully, please check the Manage Add-On panel in IE. Show Add-On management: 1. Click [Tools] -> [Manage Add-ons] 2. Choose Toolbar and check if the Status is enabled (Figure: Windows XP SP2 Internet Explorer 6 ) 17 / 24

If Toolbars are not registered in Manage Add-ons, please check if the for Browser plugin is installed. 3.4 Protection functions by Plugin If the protected contents are browsed under Internet Explorer in which the for Browser Plugin is installed and turned on, screen capture and the other similar operations are disabled by Plugin. Operations are disabled or prohibited by Plugin. Disable PrintScreen key. Screen or Window Capture detection and block. Disable data copy from browser. Disable browser cache. Disable save operation in browser. Disable print operation in browser if print is not allowed. Disable output to PDF files even if print is allowed 20 / 24

for Browser Plugin Installation Guide 3.5 Capture detection and warning message If Plugin detected dangerous capture operation (capture full screen or capture the IE window in which protected contents are browsing) by some software, it will show a warning message in IE window and block the capture process. If Plugin crashed by some unknown reason, or it failed to monitor capture software, warning message is shown and the protected contents browsing is stopped. If the above warning message is shown, please terminate the capture software (in this case it is Test.exe) or report it to the support person with error detail include the error number (in this case it is 030). 3.6 Configuratios and Limitations when using Internet Explorer 8, Internet Explorer 9 Configurations (Windows7 / Windows Vista / Windows XP) (1) Confirm that Toolbar is displayed properly. [ Figure 1 ] [ Toolbar ] (2) Don't set any web page (URL of protected resource) protected by for Browser as a homepage of IE8 from Internet Options-HomePages. [ Figure2 ] ** Otherwise, launching IE8 will cause a redirection to plugin setup page. Configurations (Windows7 UAC / Windows Vista UAC enabled ) (3) Set web sites protected by for Browser to Local Intranet Zone / Trusted Zone. [ Figure 3 ] 21 / 24

for Browser Plugin Installation Guide Limitations (Windows7 UAC / Windows Vista UAC enabled ) Don't try to open a PB-protected resource by typing its URL into the address bar of IE8 and pressing the Enter key. ** Otherwise, plugin setup page will be displayed again.
