CPEA and CPSA CPD Reporting January 2017 The following information will assist certified individuals in navigating The IIA s Certification Candidate Management System (CCMS) to report required annual CPE/CPD credit hours to maintain an active certification status. If the individual is unsure of the CPE/CPD requirements, please visit the CPD Requirements web page for additional information. All CPD Reporting must be completed through The IIA s Certification Candidate Management System (CCMS) by December 31 of each year to maintain certification. At the time of reporting, certified individuals need only to complete the appropriate attestation form, declaring that all CPD requirements for the reporting year have been met. Reporting fees are complimentary for IIA members. Non-members must pay a reporting fee to remain active. As a certified individual, you should have a current profile in CCMS. Access CCMS to proceed. If you are unsure, contact Customer Relations for assistance at 407-937-1111 before proceeding. Steps to Reporting CPE/CPD Credit hours: 1. Access CCMS and login with your username and password.
After login, the certified individual s personal account profile will appear. Confirm the name and candidate ID before proceeding. Also, make sure appropriate certification is listed. Certified individuals reporting after December 31 will note their certification status (located in the lower right hand corner) has changed to Inactive (Grace Period). This status will be automatically updated upon completion of the BEAC CPD Reporting and Renewal form. Click on Complete a Form in the left navigation pane.
The Complete a Form page will appear with three tabs: New Forms, In-Process Forms, and Completed Forms. Select the New Forms tab. The required form will automatically populate. Click on the form listed under the Continuing Professional Education (CPE/CPD) Forms bar. Note: Individuals who possess more than one BEAC certification need to complete only one form. Once approved, all certifications will be updated accordingly.
After clicking on the renewal form, the following window will appear: Be sure to read and agree to the provisions stated. You are not required to list or submit supporting documentation. Click on Submit Form in the lower right hand corner. Certified individuals must maintain a copy of the CPD reporting form, along with all supporting documentation, for at least three years, as all certified individuals are subject to a CPD audit. All records must be made available to The IIA for verification upon request. The records maintained by the certified individual, in support of the reporting form filed with The IIA, should include, as appropriate, the following information: Title of program and/or description of content Dates attended Location of course or program Sponsoring organization Contact hours of credit as recommended by the course sponsor A letter, certificate, or other written independent attestation of course completion Documentation supporting publications, oral presentations, and committee or other participation IIA members enjoy the benefit of waived reporting fees. Once the IIA member submits the above form, the member receives a confirmation email from the IIA and no further action is required.
If the certified individual is not a member of the IIA, there is a fee associated with reporting CPE/CPD credit hours. If this is the case, the Complete Form-Payment window will appear after the individual submits the form: Individuals can choose to pay online by credit card or pay with a check by mail. Select the desired payment method and proceed with payment. If paying by check, be sure to include your CCMS Candidate ID number on your check submission. Please note that it may take up to six (6) weeks to process the payment and update the record. After successful completion and submission of the reporting form and payment (if required), the certified individual s status will be updated to Active. Current certified individuals who did not report their CPE/CPD credit hours prior to December 31, are placed in an Inactive-Grace period status and cannot use their certification credentials until reinstated to Active status. If you have any difficulties, please contact our Customer Relations Team at 407-937-1111 or submit an incident in your CCMS record and a certification representative will assist you.
