The New Hampshire Judicial Branch Case Access Portal ( Case Access Portal ) elevated access request instructions: For Attorney and Self-Represented Parties and Other Non-Attorneys When first accessing the Case Access Portal, you will need to click Register at the top of the homepage to begin the registration process. Next, you will be prompted with an electronic registration form. Complete each field on the registration form and click Next once complete. Note: Mobile Phone number is not required but if you do enter a number, the service provider is required. 1 P a g e
After submitting your registration form, you will be prompted with the following notification. Click Finish, and within minutes, you will receive an e-mail notification at the e-mail address you provided on your registration form. This e-mail will inform you that your registration form has been received. Next, click the Case Access Portal link in the e-mail to confirm your e-mail. 2 P a g e
Next, click Log In. After clicking the Case Access Portal link, you will receive the following prompt on the Case Access Portal web page. After clicking Sign In, you will be prompted with a log in screen requesting you to enter your newly-created credentials. Your username is the e-mail address you provided. 3 P a g e
Next, the system will prompt you to enter a role. After selecting your role, the system will take you to the Request Access page. If you selected the Self Represented and other Non-Attorney Role, you will need to enter the case number(s) on which you are a party and for which you are requesting access. If you enter multiple case numbers, separate the numbers by a comma. Enter your mailing address, read and agree to the terms and conditions. 4 P a g e
If you selected the Attorney Role, you will need to enter your NH Bar Number, read and agree to the terms and conditions. Note: If you are not a member of the NH Bar and you are an attorney appearing on a case, please follow the instructions for a Self-Represented and other Non-Attorney Role and include the relevant case number. For all parties: After completing the questions and accepting the Terms and Conditions, please click Submit to continue. After clicking Submit, you will be prompted with a notice that your access request has been submitted. Click Home to continue. 5 P a g e
You will receive an e-mail providing you notice that the Court has received your access request. The Court will review your request in the order it comes in during normal court business hours. Note: While your request is pending you will have the same access to the Case Access Portal as any member of the public. This means you will see some case information but not case documents. After the Court has approved your request, you will receive the following confirmation. You may then log in to the Case Access Portal with your log in credentials. If your access request is granted, you now have access to your cases including non-confidential documents. If your access request is denied, you will receive an email with the reason for the denial. 6 P a g e
Please note that you may re-request access if you were denied due to incorrect information. You will need to sign in using the credentials you created earlier in this procedure, and click the drop-down menu by your name and select Request Access and follow the prompts. For Self-Represented Parties and Other Non-Attorneys If you become a party to a case after you are approved for access, you will need to request case access to the later case(s). Example: Lennon, Michael or Lennon, M* In this example, using the M* will retrieve cases that were entered using Michael or the nickname Mike. Hint: If you use the M* do not put a period after the M Any time you see a field calling for payment, simply ignore it.
