142 Microscopes Primomic microscopes The Primomic range is one of the most economical choices in our selection of microscopes. These microscopes are characterized by a nice finish and good precision. With continuously variable halogen-type illumination, and DIN-standard achromatic par focal objectives this microscope series provides good value for the money. The large mechanical stage has a steady, permanent traveser and low mounted coaxial controls, a design which is usually only found in larger and more expensive microscopes. The eyepiece tube is mounted at an angle on a revolving head and in addition, the binocular model has dioptric and interpupillary adjustment. Magnification range/objective type The Primomic series microscopes are available with either 60x objective or 100x objective as the highest magnification. 60x objective Magnifies 600x combined with a 10x eyepiece, and this magnification is usually satisfactory for most preparations used in basic microscope teaching.
