LWML Mustard Seed Devotions Sign-up Tutorial 1. Open your Internet browser and go to www.lwml.org 2. There are two options from the home page for getting to the page where you can sign up for Mustard Seed devotions. Option 1 From the top menu bar, next to Resources, mouse over the down arrow (circled in red) and select Devotions from the drop down menu. Option 2 From the Favorites slider, click on the scroll arrow (circled in green) to get to the Mustard Seed ad, and click on the link Subscribe here to receive 3. 4. On the next page, you will see directions for your next step: a. I have already signed up for the LWML Member Login System (Member Login) b. I have not signed up for Member Login or I m not sure if I have signed up for the Member Login. For the purpose of this tutorial, we ll go through the steps for situation b. above. Click on the link for opening a new account in Member Login. 5. The next page takes you through a Member Login Pre-check. You will enter your e- mail address and click Continue. If you have registered already, the system will recognize the e-address and take you to a page that tells you that it s already in the system, and give further options. If you have not, it will take you to the LWML Member Login System Registration page. Again, for this tutorial, we will proceed as a new registrar. 6. LWML Member Login System Registration. Step One: LWML Member Login System Information Note: Please read the Verification section on pages 4-5 of this tutorial before entering information on the Web page. available. Username: Here you will choose your own username, which must contain at least 8 characters. It is recommended not to use any spaces. Example: yourname Once you have typed in a possible name, you can check on the Check username availability link to see if anyone else is using that username. If not, the checker will tell you that it s Password: Note the requirements in the Password box. My favorite special character is an exclamation point; it seems to play nice with the login system. As you type in the box, the strength tester will tell you how strong it is. Examples of strong passwords (but please don t use create one of your own.) J35u5!ov35M3 In this example, I used two upper case letters, three lower case letters, the number 3 for the letter e, the number 5 for the letter s, and an exclamation point for the letter L, as a play on the phrase JesusLovesMe. It checks out as very strong. Purp!32010 Using one upper case letter, three lower case letters, one special character, and five numbers, for a play on Purple2010. It checks out as secure. Question This is required as part of your information should you forget your password and want to reset it. Our login system can not tell you what your password is, and for security reasons, the website administrators can not see it. Should you forget your password, you will need to reset it. Your question can be as creative as you like or as simple as What is my mother s maiden name? Answer Your answer for the question you created above. Note that the answer is case sensitive and should not contain any spaces. It is recommended that you write this information down and file it where you can find it. Step Two: Personal Information This is self-explanatory; just be sure to enter your information in for each line. Note: Please select your state from the drop down box, then click off of it and go to the next step. You do have to enter a primary phone number, but it is optional to provide a secondary number or fax. It is also optional to chose what type of phone number it is. Step Three: LWML Information, Verification, and Submit Please select your district from the drop down box. (Atlantic is the default selection.) Enter a reason for signing up for Member Login. It can be as simple as Mustard Seed devotions Verification This is the final step of the registration. The security code (letters in the confetti-background box) is in place for your safety. the What is this? link. From the Web page that you have open, enter the colored letters in the box as the Security Code (not the ones from this example). Hint: You may want to look at this box before you start entering the other information. If you have trouble making out the letters, you can try refreshing the page (F5 on your keyboard) until you get letters that you can identify. When you refresh, all text entered on the page will be cleared. That is why I recommend looking at this before you start entering information. (Back to Step One) Click Submit. If you have completed the required fields, you will begin receiving the daily Mustard Seed devotions in your e-mail Inbox at midnight each night. Congratulations!! Notes: As you re typing in the text boxes, the box colors will indicate your progress: yellow is active, green is good, red is incorrect. The Registering from: section identifies your Internet Provider location. It is only used by the website administrators for troubleshooting purposes.
