When will this happen? June 26 th 30 th, 2017 Migration will begin overnight and run continuously until completed
What should you expect? Email may be briefly unavailable (up to 15 minutes) You may experience a pop-up window or page reload if you have Outlook or OWA open during your migration No email or calendar items will be lost during the move Any new email and calendar items sent during the move will be queued and delivered once the move is complete
What should you expect? VoIP Voicemail Disregard the email from Exchange Unified Messaging You will still be able to receive and listen to voicemail through your email
Outlook Client - Windows Restart your computer: Re-enter your UNB credentials (include @unb.ca):
Outlook Client - Mac Check the checkbox and allow: You will need to remove and re-add your UNB account (instructions are available on our O365 website)
Outlook Client You may need to enter your credentials more than once (select Remember my credentials ) If Outlook does not accept your credentials, restart Outlook Reset your personal settings (customized options and ribbons) The Outlook client should function the same way as before and all your folders, mail, and calendar items should be where you left them
Outlook Web App (OWA) To access OWA for the first time following your migration: Log into your myunb Portal and click the email link This is necessary as the web address (URL) for OWA has changed. It may take up to 30 minutes for the OWA email link to update: Update your bookmarks Set your language and time zone

Junk Mail O365 environment has different rules for catching spam so you may find legitimate emails go to your junk folder Train O365 by marking emails as Not Junk The default setting in O365 is for messages in this folder to automatically delete after 30 days Check your Junk Mail folder regularly!
Mail Restores Mail restores are now done directly in your own mailbox Within 30 days, deleted emails can be retrieved using the Recover Deleted Items From Server button in Outlook or the Recover deleted items option in OWA
Mobile Devices Experience will vary by device: Some automatically switch to O365 (email/ calendar un-interrupted) You may need to delete and re-add your account profile Step-by-step instructions for both Apple devices and Android devices will be available
Tips for before the migration 1. Make sure your copy of MS Office is fully updated 2. If you are a OneNote user, save a copy of your notebooks and pages to your computer 3. If you use the OneNote or Office apps on your tablet or phone, contact the Service Desk before you migrate
Tips for after the migration 1. Check your junk mail folder regularly 2. Consider adding any important senders to your safe sender list 3. Remember that this will affect all devices connected to your UNB account review our support documentation for mobile devices
