Requirements The purpose of this project is to provide high-speed, high-density wireless access to every classroom in the district including the high school auditorium and the three gymnasiums. In 2015, we expanded our ifi to 147 access points. In this bid, we would like to further increase our wireless capacity, replace older access points, make network repairs where needed and improve Internet connectivity to classrooms. Our current infrastructure includes 147 Meraki Access Points installed throughout the district. Vendor must provide as-built documents that show the new data drop, its location and its port number in the patch panel. It is highly recommended that the vendor schedule a walk-through of the building prior to bidding on Section 3 of this project. Section 4 - Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS) and Batteries for AP UPS Four (4) Rack Mounted AP 1500 VA UPS (or equivalent) Three (3) replacement battery packs for existing AP SUA1500RM2U UPS (RB24) Five (5) replacement battery packs for existing AP SMX750 UPS Universal Service Fund (erate): The Breitung Township School District will apply for Universal Service Fund monies to cover approximately 70% of this project. This project is contingent on receiving erate funding. Bidders must be an approved service provider and include their SPIN number with their bid. Project Timing: Vendors will be notified on or before May 15, 2017 if they are the successful bidder. The project start date is contingent on receiving our Funding ommitment Decision Letter (FDL) from USA. The earliest possible start date is July 1, 2017. If the project cannot be completed in its entirety before the first day of school (9/5/2017), then the project installation must be done during non-school hours or postpone the start date hristmas vacation (12/21/17 12/31/2017). Vendors shall include a contingency of price increases that will account for project delays. Staging and Other factors: Depending upon the total cost of the project and the overall budget, the may choose to scale the project scope. If that is the case, vendors shall be able to scale their proposal and provide itemized pricing.
