CHILI /Web Intelligent image distribution inside and outside the hospital Product Specification
CHILI /Web CHILI/Web is an image distribution and teleradiology solution based on a proven and extensible PACS architecture. It is IHE compliant and can seamlessly be integrated into the clinical workflow. Usually, the CHILI/Web Server receives the images from imaging modalities via DICOM and stores them in a relational data base system. The webserver can operate as an interface to an existing PACS and translates PACS images for the web world. The CHILI/Web Client is a program written in the platform independent programming language Java. It can be executed on Windows-, Unix- or even Macintosh computers. The only prerequisite is a Java Virtual Machine. The webclient can either run in a browser window of the Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Safari or other browsers. The webclient can have it s own database browser (patient, studies, series, images) or be called from another application to display a certain patient study or a single image embedded into an HTML page. Many functions for image display and analysis are available. CHILI/Web can, like all CHILI products, perform teleconferences with other webclients or CHILI/Workstation. The CHILI/Web Client can optionally be installed as a standalone application supporting one or more screens. The combination with the Offline Cache results in a network fault tolerant system which can be used in operation theatres or on mobile devices (e.g. ward round). The system can display images in full DICOM quality and can be used for reporting when appropriate hardware is used. The graphical user interface is available in different languages including multi-lingual character sets from the DICOM header. Local date and time formats are supported. About us CHILI GmbH, headquartered in Heidelberg, develops innovative software for image management in medical applications. The independent, founder-managed company emerged from the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) as a spin-off. The three founders of the company are scientists and medical computer scientists. Their solutions for PACS and teleradiology have been on the market since 1997. CHILI grows with every challenge. In the course of the last three years, the number of staff members has doubled. The young, creative, and highly motivated team from the field of medical informatics forms the basis of success for CHILI GmbH. The company s business strategy focuses on the development of innovative medical software and the cooperation with scientific institutions (e.g. DKFZ). Thus, the transfer of the latest research findings into current software, oriented towards market requirements, is ensured.
