The Deltek University Costpoint Certification Program provides an opportunity for Deltek clients, partners and employees to enhance their current Costpoint system knowledge, and use Deltek tools to allow them to grow their skills and remain competitive in the workforce. The Deltek Professional Costpoint Certification validates skills within the Costpoint product suite. Successful completion of the Certification exam is required to receive the Professional Certification. What does the Certification Mean? A candidate who passes the Deltek Costpoint Certification exam has demonstrated proficiency within multiple areas of Deltek Costpoint. To receive Deltek Costpoint Certification, you must pass the knowledge based exam, and the practical exam. Requirements Knowledge Based Exam There is a 100 question exam comprised of multiple choice questions to test your knowledge of Costpoint. This exam is randomly generated and provided via the Deltek Learning Zone. [1]
Practical Application Exam (in development) There is also a 3.5 hour scenario based practical application exam that tests a user s knowledge of Costpoint, and their ability to apply that knowledge to a real world scenario. The exam requires the user to provide the following deliverables, which tests your ability in each area: Project Status Report (PSR) o Ability to set up projects o Projects processing skills o Ancillary project set up Statement of Indirect Expenses o Pool Set up o Pool Processing Invoice for the Project o Transaction entry skills o Timing of set up o Customer set up Labor Report for Fiscal Year o Employee set up o Labor processing skills Other o o Account-Org set up Vendor set up Conditions No written or online reference materials may be used during the exam. The exams are taken online via the Deltek Learning Zone. Access to the exam is provided following payment of the exam fee. The exam must be completed in a single session of up to 90 minutes, with up to 2 attempts to successfully pass the exam with a minimum score of 80%. The Practical Application exam will be taken online and access provided through the Deltek Learning Zone. The test will utilize the Deltek Learning Lab, for completion of all exam deliverables. The exam will close 3.5 hours after the start of the exam. Terms and Conditions Following the purchase of the exam, you must read and accept the Deltek Certification Program Terms and Conditions. Maintaining Deltek Costpoint Certification Certification will be valid for up to 2-years and can be renewed by passing the New Release exam. The exam will be available at least 90-days following the release of a new version of Costpoint by Deltek. The exam will be available for 90-days for completion. [2]
