1 IDENTIFICATION This Release Note gives information about release 6.40.0412 of the DAP Controller, which is the successor of release 6.21.0299. New licensing may be required when upgrading. This release is valid for the following IP DECT protocols: SIP/iSIP e.g. for is3000, SV8100, SV9100 and 3C Protims for 2000IPS, SV8300 and SV9300 Protims for SV7000, SV8500 and SV9500 These variants are included in this release: DAP Controller 6.40.0412-NEC (SC) This version is for Specific Channels. (Egypt, Taiwan, Thailand, Brazil, Philippines and other Latin American countries). DAP Controller 6.40.0412-NEC (NA) DAPController-6.40.0412-NEC (NA-Lite) The NA is for North America only. DAP Controller 6.40.0412-NEC (INT) DAPController-6.40.0412-NEC (INT-Lite) The INT version is for all other countries. The main components incorporated in this DAP Controller release are: DAP Manager DAP Performance Manager DAP Configurator DAP Viewer DAP Sync Analyzer Associated DAP Firmware: AP200/AP300 AP400 Loader n.a. 49920412 SIP 4910b645 4920b645 SV8300/SV9300 4910a645 4920a645 SV8500/SV9500 4910d645 4920d645 Note: Before upgrading to this release, first read the IP DECT CE Manual for release 6.40. The new DAP loader is only needed when using the new security features added in this release. See the release overview reference in 1. 2 ASSOCIATED PRODUCTS Special settings required for associated products can be found in the related IP DECT CE Manuals.

2.1 DECT Performance Analyzer It is advised to use the DECT Performance Analyzer version 1.40.0411 (or higher) since these versions are also compatible with the functionality in release 6.40. 2.2 Central Directory Access (CDA) Tool It is advised to use the CDA tool version 3.10.0392 (or higher) since this version is also compatible with the functionality in release 6.40. 2.3 DECT Messaging and Location Server (DMLS) It is advised to use the DMLS version 4.00.0108 (or higher) since this version is also compatible with the functionality in release 6.40. 2.4 DECT Handset Configurator It is advised to use the DECT Handset Configurator version 4.0.0.40 (or higher) supporting current handset models. A new version will be release supporting Windows 10 3 COMPATIBILITY 3.1 Compatibility with Operating Systems This release of the DAP Controller is supported on the following Operating Systems: Windows 7 Professional/Enterprise/Ultimate (32 and 64 bit) Windows 8.1 (64 bits) Windows 10 Professional/Enterprise (64 bit) Windows 2008 Server (SP2 32 and 64 bit) Windows 2008 Server (R2 SP1 64 bit) Windows 2012 Server (64 bit) Windows 2012 Server (R2-SP1 64 bit) Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) Internet Explorer 10 (IE10) Internet Explorer 11 (IE11) 3.2 Compatibility with DECT Access Points (DAPs) When upgrading the DAP Controller to release 6.40.0412 you should also upgrade the AP200/AP300 firmware to release: 4910a645 for IP DECT in combination Protims for 2000IPS, SV8300 and SV9300; 4910b645 for IP DECT in combination with SIP/iSIP (e.g. for is3000, SV8100 and SV9100); 4910d645 for IP DECT in combination Protims for SV7000, SV8500 and SV9500. When upgrading the DAP Controller to release 6.40.0412 you should also upgrade the AP400 firmware to release: 4920a645 for IP DECT in combination Protims for 2000IPS, SV8300 and SV9300; 4920b645 for IP DECT in combination with SIP/iSIP (e.g. for is3000, SV8100 and SV9100); 4920d645 for IP DECT in combination Protims for SV7000, SV8500 and SV9500.

4 UPGRADE INSTRUCTIONS Follow the instructions given in the IP DECT Advanced Data Manual for release 6.21 or higher. Note that upgrade from releases earlier than release 5.20 have not been tested. After the installation of this version, upgrade the DAP firmware to the current FW release see section 3.2 5 FUNCTIONAL CHANGES The Following functional changes are introduced: - Support of Windows 10 - Removal of Windows XP and W2003 - Migration from.net 4.2 to.net 4.6.1 - Cruise Ship Docking Feature - Site Editor for Very Large Systems ( VLS ) - High Density Handset Capability for VLS - Open SSL version update - Additional Security features 5.1 Support of Windows 10 Windows 10 is now supported. Windows XP and W2003 are not supported any longer with this upgrade. 5.2 Migration to.net 4.6.1 MS.NET must be successfully upgraded to ver. 4.6.1, either during the installation of the version 6.40 DAP Controller, or by manually install_upgrade, if the host OS_PC will not have an internet connection or be able to access to the Microsoft Domain for the required KB updates and files. Required services will fail to start properly and the upgrade will be unsuccessful, if this step is not included in the installation or upgrade of ver. 6.40. 5.3 Cruise Ship Docking Feature This feature allows configuration of specific DAP MACs, used shore side extensions of the on-board IP DECT system, to be designed into the configuration in the DAP Controller. 5.4 High Density Handset Capability for VLS This feature increases the number of allowable subscribed Handsets (PPs) from 8 to 16, per DAP in VLS 5.5 Open SSL updates applied See Appendix A. 5.6 Additional Security features are added in this release Please refer to the Release overview See 1. 6 KNOWN PROBLEMS None 7 SOLVED PROBLEMS 7.1 List of Solved Problems The following reported problems are solved with this upgrade:
