Product Change Notification Change Notification #: 107611-00 Change Title: Intel 10GbE Controllers, Gigabit Ethernet Controllers and Dual Port Gigabit Ethernet Controllers PCN 107611-00 Product Marking Replace Intel Drop "e" Logo Marking with the new Intel Text Marking Date of Publication: June 18, 2007 Key Characteristics of the Change: Product Marking Forecasted Key Milestones: Date Customer Must be Ready to Receive Post-Conversion Material: Jul 01, 2007 Description of Change to the Customer: The Intel 10GbE Controllers, Gigabit Ethernet Controllers, and Dual Port Gigabit Ethernet Controllers, as noted in the affected products table within this PCN notification, will undergo the following marking change. In January of 2006 Intel announced the introduction of the new brand logo to be used by all products sold by Intel. This notification is to announce the implementation plans for the new Intel marking change for "Components" products and how it impacts customers. Over the next few months, Intel will be replacing the former Intel drop "e" logo marking with the new Intel text marking (font Neo Sans Intel- Medium), the marking is located on the top side of the controller, as shown in the pictures below.
Example of Current Intel drop e marking Example of New Intel marking Customer Impact of Change and Recommended Action: Customers should expect to see mixed inventory of the old Intel logo marking and the new Intel marking for a period of up to two years, or until current inventory levels are depleted. This change does not impact Form, Fit, Function or reliability of the products. Customers may want to notify their receiving departments of the new Intel marking.
